Apparently it's only very rarely referred to as Witloof (witlof), which is the Dutch for white leaf, as they normally refer to it as endive.
Belgian's too, random fact #142 their entry into Eurovision 2011 was by a group called Witloof Bay and that was my first exposure to the word (terrible song, didn't qualify)

Changing the subject entirely, why are the judges all in pink?

I think they were all bathed in grape juice at the request of Francis Ford Coppola ...

Will the judges give extra kudos to those chefs who manage to squeeze out a few tears prior to the tasting?

It's getting to the point where they're desperate to squeeze tears out of the tear deniers. I'm not sure they'll ever crack Trent, though.

They'll never crack Trent!

Oh well done Elena, looked amazing and they love it !!

ETA: cika, I read your post as 'denier' first of all, i.e.: thickness of a pair of tights

Exactly what I thought as I typed it - it always looks wrong!

Yay Elena! It took me a while to warm to her when she was lost amng the ponytail mob but I'd be happy for her to win now.

I've picked those two for the final, but you never can tell - one bad day at the wrong time and they're gone.

Yep I'd certainly say Matt and Elena are the favourites at the moment but one bad day in Final's Week and you are gone. Remember Saira last year who was the other person on Billie's level and she had one bad cook...

Isn't anyone watching tonight? Where are you all?

I want to eat at some nice food trucks! This is far more the type of food I'd choose than the fancy side-of-the-plate restaurant stuff.

It was so obvious when Harry told Brett the poo chutes had been taken out that someone would find one in their prawn and it looks like its George...

I've just caught up! Agree Elanor, the food looks great, especially that chicken

We're about to have poop-chute dramaz I reckon, thought they were a bit flippant earlier. Could we finally see the Pirate walk the plank tomorrow?

So Elena's fast track to the final was missing one challenge (and subsequent elimination)? Seems a bit rubbish!

At this late stage, with the best cooks remaining, I think a guarantee of avoiding an elimination was a decent prize for Elena.

Oh yes me hearties!

Harry and Mimi still have legs in this contest I think, although Harry was uncharacteristically a bit fluffy tonight

I think Harry just had an off day you could see he wasn't as enthusiastic as Matt. I wonder if Harry wants to run a good truck business as well?

Just caught up - it was touching to see Matt's sheer delight in what he was doing. He's got his truck whether he wins or not, I'd say - anybody would invest in him after watching that.

Harry was definitely having a bad day so let's hope he got it out if the way for before the elimination. My money is on the Pirate to go tonight as long as it's a cooking challenge, which I'd guess it will be as they're out of the MCA studio so unlikely to be setting up any of their identification or taste test eliminations.
