Apparently it's only very rarely referred to as Witloof (witlof), which is the Dutch for white leaf, as they normally refer to it as endive.

Changing the subject entirely, why are the judges all in pink?

Will the judges give extra kudos to those chefs who manage to squeeze out a few tears prior to the tasting?

It's getting to the point where they're desperate to squeeze tears out of the tear deniers. I'm not sure they'll ever crack Trent, though.
![]() Oh well done Elena, looked amazing and they love it !! ETA: cika, I read your post as 'denier' first of all, i.e.: thickness of a pair of tights

It took me a while to warm to her when she was lost amng the ponytail mob but I'd be happy for her to win now. |

Ability ✔️ Palette ✔️ 'Food Dream' ✔️ Tear-making ability ✔️ Likability ✔️ He doesn't have a sob-story, but he does have a supportive wife Yup, I reckon he has the whole package! |

I've picked those two for the final, but you never can tell - one bad day at the wrong time and they're gone.

Isn't anyone watching tonight? Where are you all?
I want to eat at some nice food trucks! This is far more the type of food I'd choose than the fancy side-of-the-plate restaurant stuff. |

It was so obvious when Harry told Brett the poo chutes had been taken out that someone would find one in their prawn and it looks like its George...

So Elena's fast track to the final was missing one challenge (and subsequent elimination)? Seems a bit rubbish!

At this late stage, with the best cooks remaining, I think a guarantee of avoiding an elimination was a decent prize for Elena.

Harry and Mimi still have legs in this contest I think, although Harry was uncharacteristically a bit fluffy tonight |

Just caught up - it was touching to see Matt's sheer delight in what he was doing. He's got his truck whether he wins or not, I'd say - anybody would invest in him after watching that.
Harry was definitely having a bad day so let's hope he got it out if the way for before the elimination. My money is on the Pirate to go tonight as long as it's a cooking challenge, which I'd guess it will be as they're out of the MCA studio so unlikely to be setting up any of their identification or taste test eliminations. |
