Well I knew it wouldn't be Elise to win the advantage.... She didn't use the ingredients to the max...... She doesn't know how to!

Soon as I saw that mystery box I knew Elise was going to do a matcha dessert. She'll probably get away with doing desserts all the way to the end now. One-dimensional. "It's really fashionable putting savoury items in desserts" - yes because it's all you can do other than putting sweet items in desserts...

On the other hand Matt didn't do the counter case for the defence any good by shitting bricks first time he ran into a dessert...

That invention test dish from Harry looked pretty stunning

i know he is in the pressure test tonight so hope i am not jinxing him but does anyone else think the judges will try to talk Matt out of his food truck idea, given how creative he has been and how much technical ability he has shown it seems like a bit of a waste for him to be serving up burgers, fried chicken and tacos

Isn't part of the prize doing stages at various restaurants? Maybe once he's done that he'll change his mind. It does seem a waste - if ever there was a starred chef in the making it's him. Although food trucks are getting pretty sophisticated, so it needn't be fast food staples. I can't see a food truck being the sort of destination eating place he's clearly capable of working up to, though.

Matts been in a fair few pressure tests now hasn't he? I have to believe that he will be safe once again

Mimi must be chuffed it's pastry so I will worry for Trent although he was surprisingly precise with his sponge decoration yesterday!

I really don't like Christy, she's been quite cutting to stressed contestants in the past

ETA : Holy cow, what the hell is that ?!

The description has made my mouth water though, some fantastic elements in there

Looked overly pretentious to me although if someone put it in front of my face no doubt I'd look in awe before burying myself head first into it...

I am really worried for Matt right now, his confidence has - for some reason - hit rock bottom, as though he is absolutely positive he's no good at desserts so there's no point in him making the effort.

I'm quite annoyed that Elise escaped today's pressure test - one of the judges even called her the Parfait Queen so shouldn't that be highlighting how she makes similar dishes?

Still, this dessert looks pretty exciting :P

They're concentrating so much on Matt's mistakes that he must be safe.

I hope you're right. He's looking so troubled by his own failures that he's making me worry for his mental state. It's as though he's almost decided to give up.

They've given us the double bluff a couple of times this season but I agree. Think Mimi is looking in good shape and Trent is making small errors and they'll add up...

I'm clinging on to that thought, but if he can save that curd, he will be a genius!

Mimi's so on the ball tonight

He does look almost broken in places, it's so sad to see I truly believe he's the one with the most potential and either him or Elena would be worthy winners of the whole thing

This might be the one where they get him to cry at the tasting!

He's his own harshest critic, I think, so going wrong three times at the beginning would really knock him. But I have faithin his ability to come through!

And the wheels are starting to come off Trent now.

I agree, either of those wouldn't be a bad fit for the winner.

Oh dear, Mimi just put stuff together and forgot an element, she must be relieved that Gary and the guest chef pulled her up on it.

I don't think Matt looks too down to be honest. He's a bit under pressure, but the early mistakes seem to have been caught up. I think Trent is in far more trouble.

I agree with the people who think the dessert sounds a bit overly pretentious. I suppose it would be really impressive in the right restaurant, but just the cake would be good, I think. You don't need discs and chocolate nests on top, imo.

I think that Trent's had it. He didn't read the recipe properly and made the brownie too thick so his timings were completely off, and now he's got issues with a mousse mould that hasn't set.

Surely these desserts they're coming up with aren't restaurant dishes - they must be special occasion desserts, banquets, weddings, whatever. Restaurants would come to a standstill if they were turning out even 10 of those a night.

Trent should have given Matt a lacy dome in exchange for a blue one

The guest chef just stated she came up with it for the final six so it was specially created for this Pressure Test. Not sure what I think about that.
