Looks as if Elena's done well but I don't get why she couldn't have put more sauce on when she was plating - she knew it needed it.

I wonder how many times we've heard 'push' tonight. And how many we'll hear tomorrow.

![]() He should have served them for main too. They would have given him the title on the spot. The subtitles just claimed that Brett said something from the gantry but I still haven't spotted him. Not that I've been really looking. |

She said she didn't want to keep the diners waiting but surely the second or two it'd take for an extra squirt of sauce wouldn't have really mattered?

![]() I really can't call it between Harry and Elena, but if they go back to body of work, Elena 100% |

My guess is that is her commentating on it afterwards when she was told it would've been better with more sauce. At the time she probably didn't realise.

No, that's what she said as she was plating - didn't make any sense to me and still doesn't.

I don't like George starting off the whole shebang by pretty much going "yeah we'd like it on time, but the criteria for judging is deliciousness". In other words, why not just run a bit late and make it extra good? And why not reduce Shannon's role to basically just saying "work faster" a lot?
Regardless of that the right result. But I'm surprised how Elena managed to claw back that half hour she lost, it wasn't really clear how she did it! |

It was played out at that point but it was a voiceover from the next days recording of her piece to camera.

Oh right, so it was really just a bullshit excuse for the fact that she had enough sauce, should have used more - but didn't

![]() Sign of the times. Hell's Kitchen is by far the worst though. Ramsey must muff up his lines all the time as we alternate between live and voiceover every other sentence seemingly! |

MCA are pretty bad for this. You can tell by two things, change of background noise and MCA are pretty linear, if you see them say it, they are saying it live but if you hear it but don't see them say it, its a voiceover.

I've seen seared tuna so many times on these shows that I decided to cook some myself a couple weeks ago. (Previously I'd only ever had canned tuna.) I rubbed some salt and oil into it and added some herbs. After searing it looked like it does on the shows - cooked on the outside and raw in the middle. Maybe I did a lousy job but I wasn't impressed. It's a dense fish and it had hardly any taste.
Verdict: Canned tuna is better. |

That round should have been judged on a blind tasting so it wasn't influenced by who cooked it but on plateing & taste. I still think the same 2 would have got to the final though. I do like it when Shannon is on he is been a good addition to the team.
