OMG, me too!!

She thinks she's something REALLY special for making momentous decisions such as leaving something she's cocked-up royally off a plate *rollseyes*

What's all this 'Dessert Queen' bollocks?

Sheesh, they've only been there a few weeks and isn't she supposed to wait until other people call her that?
There are a lot of kingdoms for desserts it appears! Karmen is one, there was the annoying one a few series ago with her melting moments (cannot remember her name, just remember I was happy when she went home) and then over on MKR you have Lauren (of Lauren and Carmine) who was a self-declared Dessert Queen. Where is this kingdom called Dessert and if it's that easy to become ruler what's the price?

I think the chocolate beef thing deserved some credit because it would have been easy to do what everyone else did and basically make chocolate tart/chocolate icecream etc. Some of them did do some spectacular-looking desserts, true, but skipping the obvious dessert route - and pulling it off - took some gumption.

MCA is interesting in general because - and I've absolutely no stats other than gut feel on this - it definitely seems slanted more towards desserts than mains in terms of total dishes cooked. Dessert queens are ten-a-penny on the show so sometimes the most impressive ones are the ones who don't rush to make a dessert at every opportunity (like Nigella's distinctively un-desserty mystery box).

So I just watched last nights episode enjoyed it actually, Harry's dish was very inventive if only it had been a touch refined I think he would have walked it. There were some right disasters on there - yikes, whose dish was it that looked like baby sick? Chloe?

And what the heck was Nigella on about with her feedback?! Something about salinity?!! I was all

Looking forward to the eliminayy-shee-yon tonight. Think Matt the park ranger has hit his peak and will be going home.

I really want Jimmy to go. I don't like him at all.

Okay, deal - so long as he takes that useless Miles with him.

Why TF he's still there is anyone's guess.

He must have been in just about every elimination so far - the only time he hasn't been is if he was on the winning side of a team challenge.

My guess is that it will be Miles - they paid a lot of attention to him in the edit yesterday. And he's probably got as much as he's going to get out of it.

Nigella in black, George wearing black, Matt in dark clothing and Gary in a bright white shirt. He's definitely the mean one this year..

And those 3 dishes look dare I say it quite easy? If you put them alongside was it Shannon Bennett in the first week who did that Snickers thing??

Yeah they're nowhere near the same level. I suppose the challenge is doing everything together.

They've got an hour to do all three courses, and I guess, though not difficult per se, the preparation of the pannacotta is going to be crucial...

HAHA (#sorrynotsorry) Jimmy is in trouble. I so want him to go.

The fact that they're concentrating on Jimmys failings makes me think that he will make a dramatic comeback, to the detriment of, probably, Miles

As much as Miles irritates me, he's nowhere near as annoying as Jimmy...I am hoping that this is all misleading and Jimmy is the one that bites it tonight.

It looks like Chloe could end up with a half prepared dessert if she's not careful. But that said, Jimmy hasn't done his starter!

Oh my, that was tense!

And how nice of self-titled dessert queen Karmen to comment on the texture of Miles' pannacotta

She wasn't wrong though. He made a schoolboy error with his, putting it in the moulds when it was still hot - I guess it's like a custard with a skin when that happens...not pleasant.

Oh absolutely, but it's not for her to say... I can't bear her so I'll find any opportunity to criticise

I want to punch a fist in the air right now. Sounds awful but I haven't liked him since his audition...He's just someone I never warmed to - there are a few this year that I am not hugely keen on, but he's one that I am really glad is gone!

They couldn't seriously have saved him on the basis of one very good pannacotta and two awful dishes...but juuuust for a moment that's what I thought was coming.

Probably worth it though for a slightly green-round-the-gills Nigella when she realised she was going to be eating almost-raw lamb. And her drama queen "hope he doesn't disappoint me with my crab salad"...get over yourself, love.

Jimmy had a shocker! Thought at one time they would let him off because of his panna cotta. Who would have guessed he would go before his sister? He was smug though!

was about to post the same thing

couple of little asides about the presence of nigella. the regular judges really seem to be fawning over her and agreeing with everything she says, and maybe its just me but i find her voice/accent to be incredibly similar to MPW
