If Casualty are having a helicopter crash, what will happen to Holby City?

The A&E is on the other side of the hospital. There will probably be comments but I don't think it will affect the Holby wards.

It may not be on the same side of the hospital but surely it will still have to be a big deal and be the main focus of Holby's next episode. they can't just gloss over the face that a helicopter has crashed into their hospital.

Several Holby staff will be in Casualty on Saturday. If they are cut, bruised etc, it will have to be mentioned in the following Tuesday's ep.

Holby has an extra episode on Thursday evening, I'm assuming it's to get the following Tuesday's episode in sync with the disaster.

I don't watch either soap but I will be tuning into Casualty's big stunt as I've read a lot about it in the press. Are Casualty and Holby City not totally separate soaps? Or do they do crossovers? If so, I never knew that. That must be unique in the soap world

Characters quite often make crossover appearance, and major plots get mentioned in both shows, but full crossover episodes are very rare due to the filming locations being 150 miles apart.

wondered about that too - because EE and Holby are done the same place - and the girls in "nurses' uniform" i have seen walking in and out of the gates when I wait for EE cast (I døn't watch Holby so havent a clue how many I have seen but for all I know I may have seen more Holby cast than EE cast) - anyway, just wondered if the hospital we sometimes see in EE, is that really a part of (lent from) Holby ?

Holby is on twice this week I think to make sure Holby is in sync with Casualty. Jac appears in Casualty on Saturday but is yet to return in Holby after taking time off after hitting Ollie. They couldn't have her turn up in Casualty's special episode on Saturday before she had returned to Holby!

Holby City is a spin off from Casualty. Casualty and Holby City are in the same fictional universe. Casualty and Holby City are based in the same hospital. Holby City and Casualty do have the odd crossover. Fletch that is in Holby City was originally a Casualty character and Connie that is in Casualty now was originally a Holby City.

Very little, I suspect.

Once Hanssen, Jac and Fletch have made their guest appearances that will be it.

Yes, I assume it is still on the cards and Holby will be shipped out of Elstree once the new EastEnders set is complete.

Jez and Iain from Casualty are appearing in Tuesday's Holby so hopefully there'll be some reference to it then. Otherwise, I think it'll be like several incidents which seem to affect the ED but not the rest of the hospital and vice versa, eg Casualty's fire, Holby's flood.

That's hilarious. If a helicopter crashes into a hospital it would affect every ward, every bed, every doctor and nurse in the place. The whole building would be in a state of emergency.

Not "Oh by the way there's been a massive helicopter crash on the other side of the building with hundreds of casualties... No I have no idea if they need any help. I'm going on my tea break now. Think I'll have a nice custard cream."

about crossover - hospital scenes in EE - are they actually filmed at the Holby City studios ? and hospital staff walking around, are they really Holby "employees" - like recently with Jane in hospital.

Holby City and Casualty are set in the same "universe". Eastenders isn't. EE has nothing to do with Holby it doesn't matter if they are filmed close to each other.

Digital Spy's wording on it "Show bosses had previously announced that Holby City's Jac Naylor, Adrian 'Fletch' Fletcher and Henrik Hanssen would all pop up in the episode. But that's not the only crossover, as next week's Holby City episode will also be impacted by the events in tonight's Casualty. We can't say too much just yet, but with both shows set in the same hospital, it's only natural that the crash aftermath would be explored in both programmes." http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/casu...aintwitterpost

next to old I guess. believe they're using some of the carpark behind the Clarendon Rd gates. Whenever I've been I've seen builders walk in and out and lorries with probably building materials.

just been to google maps - aerial view - and I can honestly say I can't see any construction / building works - and parking areas are still in the same place. but then I don't know how old this "image" is - it does say 2016. And I did read in Borehamwood & Elstree Times that they where using some of the parking areas.
