Where did I go wrong?
Kirsty Scot
22-08-2016
My well brought up, beautiful, intelligent 21yr old daughter who is in her final year of university thinks bear is good looking and "funny" I on the other hand think he is moronic and anything but funny if she ever brought anyone like him home I would go for his jugular.

Where did I go wrong?

You haven't gone wrong. Children always seem to like people you don't.
I think sometimes they like to shock us.

I remember in my day that parents were worried if you liked the Sex Pistols.

I reckon most of the parents who hated the Pistols, secretly realised Johnny Rotten was a genius, unlike Bear

Bear would be better suited the New Romantic era, he could be the Bez of Spandau Ballet, instead of shaking the maracas he could juggle eggs ?

I can see him in the 80's fashion.
The attitude of Sid Vicious.

I think it could be an age thing Kirsty. Maybe she relates to bore and his antics more because some people she knows acts the way he does?

To be honest I don't think Lewis and Marnie could ever be as vile as Nancy and Sid.
They both wasted there lives.

You didn't go wrong, you have a daughter who has her own mind to like and dislike who she chooses.

Unless you want her to like everything you like and dislike everything you dislike.

The thing is, she will never meet him or have to be his friend. He is entertaining, you only have to look at the amount of threads about him on here. Even people who hate him spend alot of time talking about him. He went in the house to get people talking about him and it has worked.

All youngsters are like that. I'd be more worried if she like Val Doonican and started wearing knitted jumpers

Never could they emulate Sid and Nancy in any way shape or form and Sid would have demolished any cameras.
