New kitten help
My baby tonks has had 4 beautiful little babies this morning and everthing went well... mum and babies doing well... however... i had a nice birthing box set up in my old airing cupboard... (she likes to sleep in there with the door open) and a second option on my sons desk right next to his bed as she also loves to sleep with him... tonks however chose to deliver on my sons bed on his duvet with him in it at 6am this morning. He was fab with her and watched her every move until all kittens had arrived keeping still and quiet (a minor miricle in its self) . i have left mum and babies all day to settle and feed and tonight moved the babies to the box right next to the bed on the desk (mum was quite happy with this and was puring away and having a fuss as i did it) obvously my son needs his bed changed and usable... however tonks has just moved the kittens right back to where they were... i dont want to move them again and upset her... any advice to get my sons bed back ...
Ps she was an adopted cat and will be spayed as soon as she can be. |

They do that. They also tend to move them about as they grow bigger. She sees the bed as the safe place and took umbrage as to where the kittens were moved to. She needs time to settle down with the kittens. A bed offers privacy and has height. I don't think it is a quick fix as she will keep moving or even hiding them.
