Why have Channel 5 never got anybody from their soaps on Celeb BB?

I am surprised Channel 5 haven't had anybody from Home and Away or Neighbours on CBB. They fund both shows and I've seen some of the H&A cast on adverts on Five. To me it would seem obvious they would try get people from their own shows on and these people would be more recognisable than the majority of people in there anyway! It would be ideal for someonebody who has just left one of the shows and are looking to boost their profile.

Oh really, didn't know that. I would have thought there'd be one every series tho, they have somebody from bloody TOWIE on practically every season! And all these American reality stars who haven't even been heard of here

Channel 5 doesn't make Neighbours or H&A, they just buy them off the Australian company that does, so they don't have any contracts with the actors, not like the BBC does with Eastenders for example.

Alternative answer : because they're too famous?

They do fully fund Neighbours though and H&A is massively funded by them. Ya, the actors aren't directly employed by them but there are strong links there and it just seems logical to me.

And yes you're alternative answer could be spot on 😂
