Ok, further to my earlier post (#32 above - sorry, too late to edit), my son has just come home and I can confirm she doesn't always get asked for her autograph, as he said she just gave it to him. I don't think he had a clue who she was.

I'd have thought it was a nice gesture to be given a signed photo by Sam Fox straight out of the blue without asking. Your son said she was very friendly and a good laugh, so wouldn't that be a natural thing to do? Why is everyone belittling her for the slightest thing

She takes herself way too seriously.

All of what she says may be true, but who says this stuff out loud?? (Apart from Lewis, obviously.)

I didn't think to ask him if he'd asked Sam for the signed pic, or if she kind of forced it on him. He's out at the mo - i'll ask him when he gets home.

Based on the above, I was looking forward to her being in the house, thinking she'd be quite funny, but unfortunately she's not coming across like that at all.”

She takes herself far too seriously and her 'our Sam' persona . Shame really, she'd be far better liked if she could laugh at herself and join in some fun . She didn't seem to bond with anyone in there .

First record I ever bought, although I was only about 5 at the time though

We need to petition the producers!

A lot of women still need Tampax after 50. It's not the cut off point for the menopause you know.

Joe Docle's awful song kept Ultravox's Vienna from getting to number 1 in the charts.

Methinks she was being less than honest when she said that. Everyone knows writing implements are not allowed.

I suppose it is possible that Sam gets asked for autographs frequently. She is still reognisable and does a lot of gigs abroad. If people have seen her singing the night before, it is not that far fetched to suggest they may stop her & ask for an autograph. a lot of people don't carry a pen, so she does. At least she isn't one of those celebs who refuse autographs because they think it beneath them.

I'm not liking same half as much as I thought I would and think she vastly overrates her celebrity status and position as a national icon but I don't think it unresonable for her to carry a pen in case she is asked for an autograph. It's like having an acceptance speech prepared for an awards ceremony - it's not big headed, it's professional.

She comes across as someone who is desperately trying to convince herself and the public that she is a star still.
Yes she is famous but she's one of those where her name is more famous than she is.
Sam Fox is the page 3 face part of England's history . But Samantha Fox is now 50 with no career to speak of . Nothing to pay the bills.
She's had her time in the Sun now winter is coming .
We still haven't seen the real Sam Fox .

I know, right. One of reasons why I like watching the celebs, they're so ego driven.

Looking at her eye makeup sometimes - maybe she was covering up for its real use ?

Well just shows how out of touch i am, i hadn't a clue what BB was on about when they said 'there is a sharpie' in your bag. Thought it was some medical thing she used.

Loved Joe Dolce, it always got everyone up on the dancefloor.
First record i ever bought was 'Bow wow wow' go wild in the country though

I had to rewind it about 5 times. The first time to check that she'd actually said it and the other times because it was so funny

Yeah I can believe it's true. Though I wouldn't be interested as a woman, I can imagine quite a few blokes around my age who would.
