Why do I keep thinking of The Simpsons, Krusty presenting the Cable TV awards.

"And the best NEW show on Cable is..... Old Starsky and Hutches"

And being ITV, the panel will mainly consist of any Coronation Street or Emmerdale actors who do not mind being in the same room as Antony Cotton.

Be good to see Blankety Blank back, but why does it have to be on ITV? They'll probably fill the "celebs" with TOWIE nobodies.

It had two series on ITV (and two on the BBC) with Lily Savage.

The show is based on the US show "Match Game" which was refined in Australia.

Whomever has the UK rights can make the show ... simples

I'll give it a go, Walliams is a fun host on other stuff and he's a bit different to Mulhern/Schofield/Ant and Dec etc.

Same could be said of the BBC remaking all those old sitcoms.

Will these version be able to get the standard of celebrities we used to get before

Or will it be Vicky Pattison and the awful Charlotte Crosby

Why Walliams? Paul O'Grady should have been the host!

It's on tonight at 6:25pm on ITV.

Panellists are Anne Robinson, Louis Walsh, Joe Lycett, Lesley Joseph, Brooke Vincent and the Chuckle Brothers.

The episode on YouTube with Liz Dawn and Richard Whitley in is hilarious. Paul O'Grady can be very funny.

Love how everybody said the stars would be crap, but they've actually found a pretty good lineup.

I've OD'd on Walliams, he's everywhere. He's an acquired taste that I've never acquired.

I think it's the reverse. I think a lot of people (myself included) used to like him, but have grown tired of his nonsense and the rubbish he now produces.

Well there's nobody from TOWIE, so that's a start.

Who would you have on there?

I'm glad there are no reality stars in sight.

Chuckle Brothers....nuff said. Love them.

Well ITV are basing their Christmas schedule around Birds of a Feather, which is an ex BBC show, and Corrie, which was originally offered first to the BBC.

So maybe Emmerdale, but they don't love it like they do with Corrie.

Love how everybody said the stars would be crap, but they've actually found a pretty good lineup.
Except for that Corrie actor, but there could have been worse ones chosen I suppose.

The line up of celebrities is respectable (not a TOWIE turd in sight), the format seems to be unchanged and David paid a nice tribute to the former hosts of the show, two of them no longer with us.

Ticking all the boxes so far.
