Is the bloke on the exercise bike / elf the one who was in the 'Middle Class Jeremy Kyle' sketch on Walliams & Friend this week ?

Found that hilarious.

It's lightweight entertainment that's very watchable.

Walliams did a similar joke on Walliams and Friends with singing the theme tune

Could've done with being cut by 15 minutes...too much filler and waffle at times. Remained largely faithful to the original format though, and Walliams did a surprisingly good job. Enjoyed it.

I don't think you make a series of this. Its good for one-off specials, but a series, I think viewers would loose interest.

Just keep it for specials ITV.
Don't agree.

This needs to be brought back for a series. The only difference is that it needs to be half an hour like it used to be so the show would move at a slightly faster pace. TV is crying out for a game show like this. All of todays quiz shows or game shows are somehow not as fun or enjoyable as they used to be.

Ridiculously slowly paced, even taking into account the ad breaks.

The 2016 version on ABC is played for a top prize of $25,000. ITV presumably thinks risible prizes are part of the format. They aren't - it is a sign the company airing it is impoverished or cheapskates.

Some of the contestants and for that matter the panel didn't seem to have seen the show before.

Still promising I suppose ...

That's why I said it needs to be half an hour like it used to be because it would up the pace a bit. As for the prizes they were never that great on BB even back in Les Dawson's day but that's half the fun of BB. Nobody ever went on there expecting to win life changing amounts of money. If they did that it would take some of the innocence out of it.

It doesn't in the USA - in fact if anything it is even more single entendre in its answers.

The prizes were in line with the sort of things offered in lower tier BBC game shows of the day.

It would have been so much better without Walliams.

The cheap prizes are part of the joke, which you've clearly missed.

It depends what you think is an integral part of the format, and what was added as part of necessity of the BBCs parsimonious 1970s production standards. Personally I take the view that the terrible prizes are part of the latter and the format works better without them.

Maybe these prizes could be substituted into Pointless, The Chase etc and make those shows 'better'.

am dissapointed with blankety blank, set far to small and cramped, no wogan wand and no supermatch jingle, there was just no campness to it, it had potential to be good with walliams campness but he seemed to be acting the straight man in this.

they should have combined the bits of the USA Match Game with the Uk version and would be good, the Alec Baldwin is very good.

They should have allowed the naughty answers and done what Match hame does and cuckoos the voice and censors the mouth that would make it funny.
Why the guy did not say "Pussy" I dont know as that is what I was expecting.

I think he was there to be the Kenny Everett of the show where he used to come out with stupid answers and the presenters losing the patience with him like what Terry Wogan and Les Dawson used to do

Joe didn't seem to realise that there was always latitude given for two answers, one funny or odd, the second the 'real' one for the game. Although his answers barely managed to be any of these.
