I noticed many people on hear keep refering to him as a towie boy and essex boy, but he is an east end cockney boy from the east end of london and very much still lives there in Walthamstow!! it reminds me of how people keep asking me if im from essex due to my cockney accent but im a true east end cockney boy from canning town and for all you people from other parts of england cockneys are from the east end not essex although many of us do live in essex now like myself ive lived in essex for 3 years now but will always be an eastend cockney boy.

I don't care where he comes from - he's still a knob.

Reminds me of Maxwell all East London but was more Nawf

Mind you the London boroughs and some of Middx all became a bit messed up over the years. Some of Essex crosses over to East London, never knew if we were coming or going back in the day

I notice people get essex and London mixed up a LOT; people from other parts, usually.
I think a lot of people from the East End moved to Essex? Would you say the accents are similar?

seeing as Walthamstow is right next door to Woodford, I'd say they are a bit similar

in the East End you have lots of different accents anyway, cockney is the minority, just us old farts keeping it up for nostalgia reasons

Yes there is a lot of accent merging in Essex - mostly the further you get to East London. But if you go further out of Essex towards Suffolk, the accent is much more yokel like, although nowhere near as pronounced as it used to be.

Hundreds were moved out of the EastEnd into Essex after the war because of the devastation caused by the bombing. The blurring started then.

Funny enough, a majority the "east end" people that i know mostly live in and around essex....Always a easyish mistake to make considering the history of it

Walthamstow is not east but north east London with a bit bordering on to Epping Forest. Being from there we never thought of ourselves as cockneys, we were just Londoners. Traditionally 'cockneys' are born within the sound of Bow bells.

and now they are being moved out to make way for luxury flats, London will be completely soulless in 20 years time, but it will be nice and shiny though

He's a cockney and still a bell end. Praise be to his Anglo Saxon forefathers, lets hope none of them were like Bear.
