I've changed my predictions slightly:
1st: Claudia Fragapane - Claudia seems to be guaranteed at least a place in the final. She just seems made for Strictly! Following Louis' success back in 2012, I reckon there'll be a lot said about the pressure of living up to the high expectations created by him. Another thing that I think will be talked about a lot on the show will be her age. I predict that, throughout the series, she will try to prove that she has the maturity of her fellow contestants. This could be her thing that she has to overcome, a bit like how Louis and Jay had to overcome their lack of acting ability. As for her dancing ability, I reckon she will be quite a charming dancer and will excel in dances where there are lots of lifts involved, such as: the Charleston and the Salsa and also dances that are quite fast, such as: the Quickstep and the Jive.
Ballroom: Very good but will have to overcome the guaranteed large height difference between herself and her partner.
Latin: Will be better than her ballroom simply because height isn't such an important factor in Latin dances, making them easier for her.
Predicted partner: AJ Pritchard
=2nd: Danny Mac - Danny reminds me of Matt Di Angelo for some reason, hence why I've place him second. I reckon he'll be one of the best dancers of the series and will produce some stellar performances. He basically has everything her needs to do successfully on this show: a dance background, a performance background, good looks and quite a good personality. The only thing that may be his downfall is his popularity in comparison to the other contestants. However, Jay wasn't very well-known before last year's series and he win the show so anything could happen. We'll just have to wait and see!
Ballroom: Very good.
Latin: Equally as good as his ballroom.
Predicted partner: Joanne Clifton
=2nd: Louise Redknapp - I reckon Louise will be a very good dancer but will not be very popular with the public and may be this year's ringer that is disliked by the public due to her past dance experience. She may end up in a shock dance off once or twice but otherwise will get through the competition quite well due to her high scores. She reminds me of Denise Van Outen from Series 10 in 2012, who came joint second place, ended up in the dance off twice and wasn't very popular due to her past dance experience, hence why my predictions are the way they are. She also reminds me of Caroline Flack but, despite Caroline having quite a bit of dance experience before the show, she wasn't that disliked. However, she did end up in a shock dance off once before Blackpool, which is what I've predicted will happen to Louise.
Ballroom: I reckon she'll do very well in her Ballroom dances but won't produce any iconic or special routines. Instead, I predict that she'll do quite traditional ballroom routines with lots of precision, which will please Len but maybe not Craig because Criag may be looking for more theatrical routines.
Latin: Will do well in these dances as long as she loosens up because, as lots of people have said, she seems to be wearing quite frumpy dresses that don't really hug her body too much, which could suggest that she isn't really comfortable with the idea of doing sensual dances such as the Salsa.
Predicted partner: Gorka Márquez
4th: Ore Oduba - From what I saw on Let's Dance For Comic Relief and the red carpet, Ore can definitely dance and perform and could be a contender. However, the same could be said about a lot of other cast members this year and, due to the fact that he isn't really well-known compared to a lot of the other contestants, he could be overlooked and end up in the bottom two quite a few times. You never know, though, he could become quite popular like Anita Rani did last series and go far, which is what I think will happen. The professional dancers seem to have praised him quite a bit on Twitter so he could definitely surprise us like Anita did and be better than expected. His attitude on the red carpet shows that he is definitely willing to learn how to dance and I reckon he will go far and become quite popular due to his exuberant personality. However, towards the end of the competition, I don't think he'll be as good as some of the other contestants and will rely on his performance skills to get him to the semi-final, where I predict he'll end up in the dance off with Will Young, who will be of a similar ability to Ore and it will come down to Len choosing Ore to go through into the final, where he will simply won't be as good as the others and will be eliminated.
Ballroom: I think he'll be alright at the start but will improve over time a bit like Michael Vaughen from Series 10 (but will be quite a bit better from the start) and Simon Webbe and Mark Wright from Series 12.
Latin: I reckon he will excel in these dances as he will be able to perform a lot easier.
Predicted partner: Karen Clifton
5th: Will Young (vs. Ore Oduba) - Will reminds me of four past contestants: Jason Donovan, Jake Wood, Simon Webbe and Peter Andre, in the sense that I reckon he will start off well in the competition but then start to get lower scores and become less popular than people would have thought. Hopefully, he will be able to bounce back a bit like Simon did but, if he doesn't, I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave earlier than previously expected. I reckon he'll get to the semi-final and will end up in the bottom two against Ore, who will be of a similar ability to Will. I predict that it will come down to Len having to choose who to get through to the final and he will choose Ore, eliminating Len.
Ballroom: He'll be a very graceful ballroom dancer but it really depends on his partner. To reach his full ballroom potential, he would ideally be partnered with someone like Joanne or Natalie.
Latin: I'm not sure about this one. His ballet background implies that his legs will be too stiff and his feet will be turned out too much, a bit like Helen George. However, all the people he reminds me of did quite well in Latin, especially in the early rounds of the series so maybe he will start off well with his Latin dances but they will get worse over time.
Predicted partner: Oti Mabuse
6th: Laura Whitmore (vs. Danny Mac) - Laura reminds me of Helen George and Pixie Lott (it may be because they're both blonde like her. I'm not sure), who both came sixth in the competition, hence my prediction of her placing. Laura has had some previous dance experience in tap dancing so she definitely has some rhythm within her. From what I saw on the red carpet, Laura seems to be quite confident and, from the way she carried herself, seems to be able to dance to me. However, she doesn't seem that popular with people on this forum, which suggests that she isn't too popular with the public overall. I reckon she'll be a good dancer but will end up in a shock dance off against Danny Mac, who will only just get through due to Len choosing him over Laura to carry on in the competition.
Ballroom: I predict she'll be a very graceful, elegant Ballroom dancer.
Latin: She reminds me of Jamelia for some reason and Jamelia didn't really do well in the Latin dances, which suggests that Laura won't be but Helen George and Pixie Lott were quite good at the Latin dances, so she may turn out to be good. I think the latter prediction may be more likely however I am not sure.
Predicted partner: Brendan Cole
7th: Anastacia (vs. Will Young) - I feel like Anastacia could surprise us and be a good dancer. For some reason, she reminds me of Pamela Stephenson: an older woman (not to say she is old at all but, compared to the rest of the cast, she is one of the older contestants) who can dance. From what I can see already, Anastacia has a very large fan-base and seems very willing to learn how to dance and will take it seriously but will still have lots of fun, which I reckon will be quite evident in her dancing - I predict that she'll be a very exuberant performer. Unfortunately, I don't think her popularity will be able to carry her to the end of the competition but she will definitely get far and will be quite a good dancer by the end of it. I reckon she will end up in the dance off alongside Will Young, who won't be doing very well at this point in the competition but will still be a good dancer and will win the dance off, causing Anastacia to be eliminated.
Ballroom: Alright but Ballroom dances won't really allow her to perform and show her big personality, which I reckon will be one of the things that she will be best at.
Latin: She'll be able to perform a lot in these dances, which will make her stand out from the crowd.
Predicted partner: Giovanni Pernice
8th: Greg Rutherford (vs. Danny Mac) - I think that Greg won't be the worst dancer but will be far from the best. However, I reckon he'll be very popular with the public and will get quite far. Throughout his time on the show, he could potentially produce some elegant Ballroom routines but it really depends on who he gets as a partner. He is definitely willing to learn how to dance so I hope he gets a partner that's willing to challenge him.
Ballroom: If he gets Natalie, I reckon he may turn out to be quite a graceful Ballroom dancer, a bit like Michael Vaughen.
Latin: I feel like his Latin dancing will be a bit like Thom Evans' in Series 12. However, on the red carpet, he did seem quite stiff and stompy so his Latin could be a bit more like Michael Vaughen's.
Predicted partner: Natalie Lowe
9th: Tameka Empson (vs. Louise Redknapp) - Just like Ore and Lesley, Tameka has been on Let's Dance For Comic Relief and also seems to be quite an impressive dancer. Unfortunately, I do think people may start to get annoyed by her larger than life personality so that could be her downfall. However, I think she'll be a good dancer, especially in the Latin and will get to at least the half way point of the competition. I predict that she'll be eliminated in the week before Blackpool in a dance off against Louise Redknapp, who will not be expected to be there however, in previous series, there have been shock dance offs right before Blackpool, which is why I expect Louise to be there.
Ballroom: A bit like Anastacia, I think she'll be alright but Ballroom dances won't really allow her to perform and show her big personality, which I reckon will be one of the things that she will be best at.
Latin: I predict that she'll do a lot better in Latin dances than in Ballroom dances because she'll really be able to express herself.
Predicted partner: Pasha Kovalev
10th: Daisy Lowe (vs. Tameka Empson) - As other people have said before, Daisy looks to be like Rachel Riley 2.0. I reckon she'll be quite stiff while dancing and will be sent home early in a shock elimination. However, she also reminds me of Sophie Ellis-Bextor for some reason and Sophie was quite a good dancer and became very popular so maybe the same will be for Daisy. I'm not too sure.
Ballroom: I predict that she could produce some good ballroom routines but she could be too stiff and might not be able to get the correct Ballroom posture.
Latin: I'm torn on this one. She could be quite a confident Latin dancer like Kelly Brook was but she could also be quite a stiff Latin dancer like Kirsty Gallacher. At the moment, I'm leaning more towards the latter prediction.
Predicted partner: Aljaž Škorjanec
11th: Melvin Odoom (vs. Laura Whitmore) - A lot of people seem to think Melvin will be one of the first contestants to be eliminated, which wouldn't surprise me seeing as he is one of the least known celebrities this year, but I reckon he could be quite a good dancer. It's a shame because, a bit like Colin Salmon in Series 10, I reckon he'll be better than a lot of the contestants but will leave early on due to being less well known that the rest of the cast. I predict that he'll be this year's version of Jamelia and will end up in multiple dance offs but will end up leaving after a shock dance off with Laura Whitmore.
Ballroom: I predict he'll be good but not great at the Ballroom dances but will have bent legs (a bit like Nicky Byrne) and won't really stand out.
Latin: I reckon he'll do better in the Latin dances than in the Ballroom ones a bit like Colin Salmon, who I compared him to earlier.
Predicted partner: Oksana Platero
12th: Naga Munchetty (vs. Melvin Odoom) - If she was in any other series, Naga would be considered a middle of the road contestant for me. However, this series' cast seems to be full of lots of strong dancers and big personalities, which could leave Naga fading into the background. She reminds me of Deborah Meaden: I reckon she'll be a good dancer and will have a great time but will leave quite early (a bit too early than predicted/wanted by the public) after a dance off with someone who is quite a bit better than her (Melvin Odoom).
Ballroom: Will be quite an elegant Ballroom dancer but won't be very good in comparison to the rest of the cast.
Latin: I predict that she'll end up with Anton and, if I am right, I predict that her Latin won't be very good but, if I am wrong, I think she could be a dark horse and get further than I have predicted because I recently saw a video of her dancing alongside her fellow BBC Breakfast colleagues and she seemed to have quite a bit of rhythm.
Predicted partner: Anton du Beke
13th: Judge Rinder (vs. Melvin Odoom) - With his eccentric personality, people may think he'll be this year's joke contestant. After seeing him dancing in the trailer for his show, I actually think he won't be that bad! I hope his partner and the producers choose to take him seriously, though, because I reckon he has potential to do well and definitely wants to do well. In what seems to be a talented cast, though, this potential could fade and become less and less noticed, which is what I think will happen, leading him to end up in the dance off twice and go home the second time after loosing to Melvin, who I predict will end up in the dance off a lot this series, a bit like Jamelia last series.
Ballroom: For some reason he reminds me of Scott Mills (maybe it's because they're friends and he was announced on Scott's radio show) but I doubt he'll be as bad as Scott but will still be quite stompy. However, he could improve over time if he gets further than I expect him to and become quite graceful.
Latin: Again, I reckon he will be quite stompy but will throw himself into it.
Predicted partner: Katya Jones
14th: Lesley Joseph (vs. Judge Rinder) - I reckon Lesley will be the worst dancer this series and will be quite entertaining but not entertaining enough for her to gain enough popularity to keep her out of the dance off. Sadly, I predict she'll leave the competition very early on, which is a shame because she has a great personality and in a cast which seems to have lots of good dancers, a great personality won't get anyone far just by itself.
Ballroom: She'll be very classy in the Ballroom dances but won't have the dance ability to make them great performances overall.
Latin: I predict that she'll struggle with these dances.
Predicted partner: Kevin Clifton
15th: Ed Balls (vs. Melvin Odoom) - In any other series, Ed probably would've been the joke contestant. However, this series, I feel like he may fade into the background and be one of the first contestants eliminated from the competition. I predict that he'll end up in the first dance off of the series with Melvin, who will be good at dancing but not very popular with the public. Melvin will be the clear winner of the dance off, causing Ed to be eliminated.
Ballroom: Not too bad.
Latin: Quite bad, especially compared to the others.
Predicted partner: Janette Manrara
