She did but those who can find no fault in Bear's behaviour are happy to down play it.

ETA I particularly like those who google for any article to "prove" it is impossible for a lens to go behind the eye. The simple fact is the lens was lodged in the eye and it required medical intervention.

How do you know this?

Anyone with a grain of intelligence, would comprehend that the footage & facts are there to be shown at any given moment. Why would Sam lie under such circumstances?

Personally, you have to be rather sick to want to see someone have an accident with an eye injury, lots of emergency programs on TV for the gory ones on here.”

No but we want to see footage or know about a warning given to a HM that recklessly causes injury to another HM.

He definitely is being protected for their cross promotion of CBB and (S)Ex on the Beach!
Looking forward to more stories of protection and fix from others as they come out!

LOL downplay it. This does make me laugh

No genuine injury can heal in a matter of hours. Think about it. Sam is bitter about being out. She overreacted to what was a stupid prank because she's hates being made a fool of. And Katie wet wipe nodding in agreement adds nothing to backup Sams story. Anyone else yeah, just not Katie.

Well the incident is serious and needs to be explained by the shows producers not showing a reckless prank that caused her injury!

Regardless if whether Sam is bitter or not, it seems that something did happen. If you injure another housemate in a prank or deliberate, it should be shown and he should have been warned again. The fact that nothing was shown, nothing mentioned of the incident only adds fuel to the fire that Big Brother want Bear to win.

Come one Lisa, she wore an eye patch for a bit and everything! In fact I'm surprised she wasn't stil milking it.... sorry, I mean wearing it - for her eviction!

Didn't Emma say it'd be in tonight's episode?

They probably making a hurried edit to show a harmless prank and edit out the medical attention Sam received and the eye patch. They had no intention of showing any damaging footage to their cross promotion favourite Bear! But Sam has made the claim and the producers need to address what happened!

She meant the custard pie I think and then thought the eye would be until Sam said it happened yesterday (Monday) so therefore wasn't shown last night and will never see the light of day.

I really don't like Bear and think he has been protected/promoted by the show however I do also think Sam has made more of the eye incident to get a bit of drama and headline for herself. I expect it did hurt and was very uncomfortable but it wasn't as bad as all that as it looks to have healed in the 1 or 2 days since it happened, there is no redness to her eye, both are open, no wateriness etc. I'm not a medical expert but I have had a serious eye injury and can confirm they don't get better magically with no outward effects in 48 hours!

Exactly. Then Emma got a little bit tetchy with Sam for recounting the pie incident as it would be shown in the HLs show today. Sam also alluded to things that Lewis had done but not apparantly been broadcast but Emma didn't pick up on it.

Re the eye incident, I cannot believe there was no discussion or aftermath among the other HMs. Surely Renee or someone would have told Bear he should apologise & I peresume he may have refused to do so? It would have been a major topic of conversation that day. But, like the soup in the bathroom, we didn't get to see it. These incidents may not have stopped Bear supporters from voting for him but they may have persuaded some viewers to vote for other HMs.

It happened Monday so would have been shown yesterday but we have a massive edit as really only 25 minutes because of evictions. There was still time to see a non-entertaining clip of Bear in the diary room saying nothing really but hey it's Bear.

It would have gone against the grain for their Bear is a harmless little boy prankster, not hurting anyone really, just having fun perpetuated myth to show him - well - actually hurt someone.

It shows just how powerful editing can be in Big Brother that a completely different narrative is drawn. I don't think producers care about public finding out after because the show is over in a few days. It's a sad, sad reflection of what Big Brother has become,

From ITV News:

A Channel 5 spokeswoman confirmed medics were called but said the footage was not aired on Tuesday as it was a shorter show due to the double eviction.

Shame it was double eviction night because I'd have loved to have seen what excuse they would have come up with. You could also add why was it not mentioned or shown on BOTS or on their website?

I wonder if BOTS will address it now that's it's got such a reaction?

Of course it was more important to show funtime Bear organising the beach party.

A 'Media cross-promotional tool.' I like it. Very well put.

To be honest they could show it and it would make some of his supporters love him more, its harmless wind ups right.
