It is third rate reality show with nobody being worth called a celebrity ... how on earth people take it seriously I do not know.

Most likely, but being "in the public eye for 33 years" she should know that labeling yourself as a national treasure (even if you are) will not endear yourself to the public, especially not in this country. The UK don't like people thinking highly of themselves. It's just the way country works. Go on the US, the more you big yourself up, the more successful you are generally in the public eye. It gets you attention etc...

But this country likes modesty, hence why saying you are great, you will win etc... never endears you to the public. Do the same in the US, and it's a different story.

It's the reason so many underdogs win on these types of shows, and why so many people who are arrogant (Sezer, Kat, Maxwell, Saskia), i can name around 100... always get booted out earlier than they expect.

DS is full of people taking things seriously - see the Showbiz forum and all the Soap forums!

It's not really people taking it seriously, it's taking it a little bit seriously for the time that they post about it on DS, I doubt is seeps into their lives and causes them sleepless nights or anything

For me the best part of Big Brother is the forum, I enjoy it - it's a hobby, a pastime, it stimulates me for a while. I imagine that's the same for most other users here.

Once we aren't posting we go about our lives and don't think about what's been put on these forums, but when we are here we enjoy it and part of that is picking a trashy TV show, and the participants therein, to shreds

Oh absolutely - although I would say that 'this country' likes the appearance of modesty. They like people to hide their egos - eg. all the people who have just been over in Rio all have big egos, or else they wouldn't have achieved what they did, but they just show a facade of modesty to the media, etc. because that's how we like it here in the UK - you must not show that you know how good you are

I like them more, but Renee and Aubrey worry me more because:

1. Renee has hinted at violence
2. Aubrey spat in his tea and sandwich + last night on feed, she was the one that walked towards him to put her hands on him, to which he backed away.

Bear is extremely annoying, but he has never, ever showed anything that makes me think he will lift his hands up towards someone to do something. He hasn't.... Heavy D and Lewis both did, and Aubrey has... and Renee has made threats.

Funny how Sam Fox the most bitter woman on this earth is the only one who has slated Bear after she came out. Which surprises me why Bolt is very liked by the UK because he always runs with ease and exclaims he knows he would win, but that may be because he is not from here. If we have a UK runner as good as Bolt and he/she acted in the same way, I bet they'd be disliked

No, I agree - I've seen no reason to believe he would physically harm or intentionally physically harm anybody beyond a prank going wrong. He's not shown any indications of that kind of behaviour. As you say, others have.

Even the water in the eye isnt a big deal. Ive done it to people and people have done it to me, none of us have been arrested.

But these are not friends, they're all strangers to each other. You know how far you can go with friends. Try doing it to a random middle aged person in the supermarket and see what happens, especially if they end up needing medical attention.

Living in a house with someone for 4 weeks is slightly different to going up to a stranger in a supermarket who doesn't know, or know anything about you or what behavior traits you have.

Haha, I'm nothing like Bear thankfully. I'm just not someone who gets offended by everything I see. The huge warning 5 times an episode are there for a reason for those easily offended

Remember during early C4 days the warning used to be just "Strong Language", or if it was very controversial it would just be "Strong Language and Nudity", that's it. And IMO the likes of BB5-6 were way more controversial to what we are seeing now. People were less offended back then.

Well you'd see, if you read through the thread, that many people have varying thoughts on the matter - not everybody is saying he did it deliberately, not everybody is saying she shouldn't have known better than to participate - there's a real mixture of views, read it, enjoy the variety

I did raise my eyebrows at the warning of strong language and potential nudity just before Emma interviewed Sam and Katie. I thought to myself, is one of them about to strip for Emma?

ETA: I've watched just about every series, I have to say I'm not shocked by much and it's not going to be something that happens on CBB or BB that truly shocks me - what happens in the real world, terrible awful events occurring every day, that shocks me (as well as saddens me of course).
