I'm making a fruit cobbler. I've picked up some frozen forest fruits. Do I have to defrost these first?

This is probably way too late to do you much good, but no you don't. Frozen berries are usually juicier than fresh, so it pays to toss them with a tablespoon per cup of fruit of thickener.
