Usually a 9 month shoot then promoting the new series. Wonder if it will be shown on Easter Saturday. Would be good to enjoy it when we are celebrating the start of spring.

I'm wondering if they'll film Moffat's 2017 Christmas special as well at that point, wrapping up his time and giving anyone staying on board into Series 11 production a break until the summer before there's more filming again.

Always liked Easter weather improves and a excuse to enjoy chocolate. Actually got married on March 30th so it is is my anniversary around Easter too.
BBC would be smart to schedule it for that saturday. April might seem a long time but after the Christmas special ad hopefully a sneek peek at the end will only be a few weeks. |

Why would anyone celebrate the start of Spring? Worst season by far (IMO)!
I can see them using Easter as a good platform to launch Series 10. Makes it a bit more memorable, and given the scheduling nightmare Series 9 went through I'm sure they're going to want to try and at least make Doctor Who come across as if it's front and centre again. |

Everyone always seems to really like spring. I'm not sure why I don't...it's nice to see the sun after several dreary months, but for some reason I end up just longing for summer by that point. Spring is the epitome of a 'filler' season for me.

Spring and summer are for reading books outdside. Telly is best when the weather's turning poor and you start staying indoors more wrapped up by the heating. If a show airs during spring or summer it tends to go unnoticed for me.

Let us all hope Who next Spring goes unnoticed for you, then we may be spared some of your tedious posts.

I would love for them to try out a January start someday for their New Year Season of programmes.
No Strictly hanging around its neck like an albatross, still dark outside, finishing nicely around the Easter holidays and freeing our daylight hours and good weather up. |
