I don't belive her in general but the idea that George Micheal's name is rememberable for "every" person her age group in England is something that is not that strange really.
The kind of Radio stations that play his music regular is not really for the 23's and under...
Last Christmas?

How can anyone possibly not know that song - jeesh, it's totally inescapable on an annual basis.

Only a halfwit like Marnie wouldn't know George Michael..

I am not watching who asked that?
Marnie.

It might just be me but there's a few times now that she's sounded unnecessarily angry. Who the f@#$ is George Michaelllllll!? Stupid and angry. Are all the scripted reality folk like that I wonder? Is it a criteria perhaps?

maybe she is another one of those fakes that play dumb but why does your 9 yr old know who he is? do you tell him or play his music a lot?

Why would he be on the tip of tongue of must 20 yr olds?
I'm not and have never been a fan of his music but my 9 year old loves music so searches for all sorts of different stuff. If she hears a song she likes on tv or on radio, she asks me who it is and then does a search on youtube.

I've also got a 22 year old sister and her and her friends are very familiar with 80's music as the whole retro cheesy music thing has always been big amongst students.

There is a lot of his songs of his that some young people will have heard of but i am sure a good amount of them are not talking about him or can readly remember his name unless their parents consently talk about him.

I am sure some may only rememeber who he is if you tell them "its the main bloke from Wham".

It's not like George Micheal is talked about on lots of young peoples platforms anymore...

She surely must have heard Last Christmas playing during the festive season? I wonder if she has heard of WHAM or is it just George she doesn't know? She really is stupid and seems to be proud of it!

But it's not even about liking his music, age nor being a fan - it's kinda general knowledge isn't it?

I would be seriously embarrassed if any kid of mine was as thick as some of these creatures.

But if she has ever listened to the news (unlikely I guess) she would know what GM got up to in the toilets - that is just about at her level.

Yep. Its easier than ever for anyone to seek out music of all genres from any era and surely its the done thing for young people to seek out old music. Certainly when I was in my teens, I made myself very familiar with music from before my time.

I'm sorry but I think she's lying for effect

Bullshit.
Look who's decided to really go for the endearingly thick act a couple of days before the final.

I can see in a "general pop Knowledge" kind of way knowing about a group called Wham, i just don't think the name George Micheal is a name that is mentioned "lots" in the world of young kids.

But i see you are mixing lacking "pop" knowledge with a kids basic lack of education or how "thick" they are. I mean they are not teaching kids about George Micheal in schools? and they are not talking about him on teen programs or radio shows.....

Some people don't even know who Michael Jackson or Elvis is . Which I find disturbing lol.

On that pointless programme only 28 out of 100 knew who was prime minister during ww2 l
That's also scary who are these people

George Michael is way down the food chain more famous for crashing cars than music . Unless read tabloids probably wouldn't know him

I don't have a single Wham or George Michael CD in my house yet all my kids. 27, 25, 23 and 17 know who he is.

Why?

Because they're not idiots.

Loool, what a shame that is going to be his lasting legacy....

I cannot speak for her but i know that a fair few of people around the age of 20 have no reason to have his name lodged in there head unless their parents or elders talk about him a lot.

But general knowledge is just that though - general.

The stuff you pick up on your journey through life.

We're all learning stuff all the time - from each other, the media, social media, cornflakes packet.............unless you're Marnie of course.

Sigh, another "I'm thick as shit me" fake moment from Marnie. Go away and take a dump on a boyfriend love, nobody cares.
