Ask that same question to 100 random people and I bet at least 30% would say the same. It's just a natural reaction without thinking properly.

You never know with these reality types. They like to play dumb to the cameras.

im 23 and i know who he is , i know names of famous people not from my era
the age argument doesn't wash with me.
you can learn a lot from your older family members, quiz shows , the internet , news etc.

again i love 80s music and 80s films and i wasn't even born then.

some people are just thick

I love how early 30s is considered old.

Who was it who didn't know who Maggie Thatcher was in the last series? Was it Jackson?

Some people just live in their own insular bubbles and never broaden their horizons. Marnie is no exception.

They think acting 'thick' is endearing, when IMO it makes them look exactly that - thick.

Are we going to ignore that Hardeep is back?

Didn't George Michael duet in the X Factor final a few years ago with Geordie Joe, who was mentored by Cheryl? You would think that any self respecting professional Geordie would have been watching and following the career of the Queen of Newcastle.

As others have said, most of us are fully aware of music and artists from before we were born, especially ones whose hits are still played now. I mean, who among us doesn't know every single damn Christmas song that get wheeled out from October ever year?

George sang at the Olympics in 2012 and had a number 1 album in 2014 so he's not been in hiding since 1987 as some seem to think.

Wait...wait, so you think that it is more important to learn about George Micheal than learn about Einstein in school????

I remember when he was doing that, and a lot of young people (on social media) where either saying who is that old man or it's that guy from wham...why aint he singing them songs!
That Album he had was not exactly a album tons of young people was listening to or was playing on all the radio stations and teen programs everywhere.

But this is the point, you "love the 80's" so of course you would know and remember George Micheal's name of the top of your head. Some younger people will have known & remembered "world famous names" or artist that are constantly referenced to in the media.....Wham is the name that is mentioned a lot, George Micheal is the name that is mentioned when he has done something controversial to land on the front pages, and not a lot of younger kids would care about that....

Yeah I think they go over how to win and get votes with PR tits beforehand and they've decided she could pull the thick as shi*te card to win with having a relationship to strengthen the chances cause they all think that gets you further for some reason.

To give her credit though, isn't she the first Geordie Shore BB housemate that is not incontinent? Brains and bladder/bowel control is asking a bit much.

You've been watching those ads with the scary germ creatures invading the loo!

I was doing a Hollywood tour and the infamous loo was pointed out. The "bathroom" is actually quite posh! In a cute little green square, up in the Beverley Hills.

George Michael was before her time! So not really a surprise she didn't know who he was.
