If a Brit wins, it will surely mean more to their career

If one of the British housemates win, it's likely to have more impact on their career and what they do next. Ricky, for instance, will want to have come across well and get more acting roles etc., and Bear and Marnie doing whatever they're into. But if one of the Amercians win, it probably won't affect their career in anyway will it? They'll go back to the US, and carry on as before... Would anyone in the US care about UK CBB? Is it even shown over in the states?

Maybe they (the US HMs) want to raise their profile here.

If you win CBB all it means is you are asked to go on the panel on SOTS.

All they'll get is guest sports on BOTS.

Didn't Stephanie Pratt get a role on TOWIE post CBB?

That's the only thing I can think of, maybe Fatman Scoop got a few gigs too.

No, she'd already been on Made in Chelsea before (and continued after) CBB.

I don't think that matters to them. They collect their pay cheque and go back home. I doubt that Renee or Aubrey care much about their profile in the UK. Or even Frankie for that matter.

I agree. There's no benefit whatsoever for an American to win. BBUS barely registers in entertainment circles. I'm not sure anyone even knows there's a BBUK.

I know people in America that watch clips of BB through Instagram etc and love it. But as far as raising profiles I mean does CBB do that for anyone anymore?

Nah I've seen insta clips get like 80k views etc and people sharing links to try and watch the show.

But my point wasn't that. I was saying people in America watch the show too.

What channel is BBUK aired on over there? (if indeed it is aired)

It's not on a channel as far as I know. There's reality tv instagram pages that post clips from time to time and that's where the majority of people I know have been keeping up with the show.

Jesus. You're the one that kept belaboring the point.

So chill yourself out.

And I'm not a man, thanks.

i was kind of hoping one of the uk channels would take up the US version of bb, the only ones I'm aware of that we get here is the standard big brother and the indian version of bb also available here.. Seems a shame as when i see the odd clip online, the US version seems more loyal to the purist ideal of what big brother is meant to be..

Actually, I think the best English-language version is the Australian one. Sadly, it's no longer in production. You can find most past seasons on YouTube or DailyMotion.
