I met Sid Owen at a charity event, he was a miserable sod and knocked me out of the way at the buffet.

A friend was selling her car and Steve McFadden came round to view, she said he was a miserable sod too.

I'd love the honour of meeting Pat Phelan.

I met Beverley Callard last year as part of a coach holiday to Manchester to see the Corrie set tour. Part of the trip was a personal appearance by Beverley at the hotel we stayed in on the final evening after we did the tour earlier in the day.

She was there for two hours and did an hour of Q and A and then visited every table for 5 to 10 minutes. We were right at the back and had to wait nearly an hour but she got to our table and had a general chat and also posed for photos with every person.

Also met Leslie Grantham at a book signing ten years ago.

Not sure if this counts but I met man who played dead body of poacher in take the high road. His day job was security guard in the offices I cleaned at the time. He used the money he was paid for the part to part fund the train journey from Surrey to Scotland for the two days of filming.m

I've 'bumped into' a few Emmerdale stars.

I shook hands with Chris Chittell when he came to officially open the Oxfam depot that I was volunteering at in 1998.

Also while at same depot in Kirkstall in Leeds and going out to Cheshire to deliver to the shops we stopped to get fuel at the petrol station and I went to buy pop and crisps for the journey, while waiting in the queue I moved to let someone pass and trod on the toes of the person behind me so I turned round to apologise and it was Peter Amory who played Chris Tate, he was very gracious about it!

I was shopping in Safeways and a lady asked me nicely to pass a bottle of shampoo off the shelf as she didn't like to be rude and reach past me, I did and she thanked me. It was Lea Bracknell who played Zoe Tate.

Also in Safeways I nearly got bowled over by a little blonde woman dressed in black, she apologised and said she was in a rush and so wasn't looking where she was going, I said it was ok. It turned out to be Malandra Burrows who played Kathy Tate.

And I never even watch Emmerdale!

Met Bianca & Ricky from EE at a TV reward programme about 15 years ago i could not get over how thick Bianca's make up was. Both friendly .... also met Babs Windsor and she is as bubbly in real life as on the screen. Also met Jac Naylor from Holby and she smiled

My guess was Melissa George too!
I have also had the pleasure of meeting a lot of the Home and Away cast on Palm Beach. For the most part they are all a lovely, friendly bunch but special mentions to Lynne McGranger, Kate Ritchie, Ray Meagher and Bec Hewitt.

I met and had my picture taken with Chris Gascoyne (Peter Barlow from Corrie) when I was about 4/5 years old. He was opening a new supermarket in town and he handed me a free balloon!

I met Tristan gemmill (Robert Preston) from corrie, I saw him at my local sainsburys in Gloucestershire, he was shopping with his family, I asked him for his autograph, I then found out after he lives in the area as he switched on the Xmas lights in the local town too a couple of years ago

I've met far too many soap stars to name them all, at least one main cast member from Corrie, Emmerdale, EastEnders, Neighbours and Home and Away.

Corrie, I used to go to Quay Street a lot and have only had one successful visit to Media City, as well as meeting cast at other stuff as well.

Emmerdale, I had been to the old studios a couple of times, you could easily meet around twenty in a day if you were there the whole day, it was so easy to meet them. The set-up of the new studios put me off a bit and I now attend Emmerdale events instead of going to the studios.

EastEnders, I've met quite a few past and current cast by visiting stage doors at the theatre. I've only been to Elstree once, in 2013, and met six cast (only one of them still in the show lol) and one of the extras. The set-up there would put me off as well as it's in a residential area and some of them can be a bit "funny", plus you are more likely to meet cast who are on foot as they aren't supposed to stop in their cars, although one or two do.

As I say, I've also done the theatres a lot as well. Chris Chittell from Emmerdale is easily one of the nicest soap actors, always a pleasure to chat to. One particular person who was in EastEnders shall remain nameless, I met them a few years ago and while they posed for a photo with me, they were otherwise very rude and uninterested.....

Yes, I met Danny Dyer at MK, got his autograph, this was before he was in EastEnders, I asked him about EE as at the time there were rumours he was going to be in it, me thinks he knew then he was going into as he gave a cheeky grin. Danny was lovely, he shook my hand and was a real charmer, proper ladies man though, he hardly spoke to my brother.

I met the actor of Calvin from hollyoaks when he was in his previous programme, dream team. I went to a few of the charity football matches and I met him a couple of times. The first time I got him and the rest of the cast to sign a birthday card for my friend and then the second time he remembered me and asked if my friend liked the card

He was lovely

Maybe it's an Are You Being Served thing. I didn't meet them, but several years ago Marilyn (H&A) and John Inman were in panto here and they switched on the Christmas lights. I have a photo of them arriving in Cinderella's carriage and Emily Symons was all smiley and waving to everyone and John Inman was slumped in a corner, arms crossed, with a face like a slapped arse on him.

A friend of mine met Gray O'Brien (Tony Gordon) in a local nightclub, although it was long before his Corrie days, it was way back when he was still in Casualty. He tried to chat her up.

Emmerdale: about 4 years ago Chris Chittell was playing in a charity cricket match with the lad who plays Jacob (before he suddenly grew up!) and David and Jai.

They had a charity auction that wasn't getting much enthusiasm (I swear everyone Huddersfield must have a signed Huddersfield Giants shirt hanging round their house by now) but Chris took over as auctioneer and he was absolutely brilliant. He was really funny, really got into character and everyone responded really well and raised loads of cash.
