I'm rather jealous.

Kate Ford coming out of a hotel. Strikingly pretty in real life.

So glad to read so many nice things about Chris Chittell. He used to come to my village to play cricket many many years ago.

In fact this whole thread is nice. I know this forum has a negative reputation amongst soap stars, maybe they should read this thread to see we do say good things about them too.

My mum has seen the guy who plays Martin Fowler in Eastenders many times when he has popped into her work (a restaurant) with his partner and child.

No, early than the Braxtons. Not Melissa George.

She has an unusual name.

David Essex came into the shop where I worked in the late 70s. He was devastatingly good looking!

Russell Floyd (EE and The Bill) used to live in the same town as me and I met him a few times having breakfast in our local greasy spoon, and shopping in Tesco. He used to live in Croydon, and so did I, and we had a couple of chats about how grim it is.

He's totally down to earth and nice.

ETA: I've just realised that's confusing. We both used to live in Croydon, and then we both moved to the same town in Sussex.

I'm guessing it is Tammin then lol! I met her on two different occasions and thought she was lovely. Maybe you caught her on a bad day. That's if it was her😝

I've met Letitia Dean in 1988/89 ish when she was doing a signing at our local Warners hotel. Was very sweet. Was around about the time of her single 'Something Outta Nothing'. I was really young of course! 👸🏼🐩

I met Charlie Brooks, Thomas Law and Gerrard McCarthy from Hollyoaks at the play Beautiful Thing last year. Gerrard was lovely!

I met the guy that played Danny Moon in a car park in West London once. Gave me a cheeky wink 😙

I met Tug from Home and Away in the early 00's filming at a water park in Ibiza lol 🏊🏼🏊🏼🏊🏼🏊🏼

I also saw Danny Dyer a few times around Canning Town/Stratford when I lived there. Going into Stratford tube.

Yes, it was the late Wendy Richard and we were both guests at a house party on Boxing Day 1984. Of course that was just a couple of months before Eastenders got started so she wasn't technically a soapstar but she was known as Miss Brahms from Are You Being Served.

I particularly remember her standing out by smoking a cigarette through a long cigarette holder and the host even suggested that I might go over to her and chat her up! Now wouldn't that have been something.

I've met a few of the Emmerdale cast at various events.

Chris Chittell (Eric Pollard): He is lovely! Very chatty and gets involved in everything that's happening.

Hayley Tammadon (at the time played Del Dingle): She was also lovely!

Mark Charnock (Marlon Dingle): Mark was lovely too but seemed to have an 'air of importance' about him. Not as approachable as others.

John Middleton (Ashley Thomas): I've met John twice and he's just a gentleman. Quite quiet but takes the time to talk to everyone and makes sure everyone who wants a photo/autograph gets one.

Jennifer Metcalfe trains in the same gym as me and is very quiet and polite.

Ashley Taylor Dawson also goes to the same gym but i've never talked to him.

I was at a wedding and Gérard Mccarthy was there.

I worked for a well known retail company so I've seen, meet, served and chatted with a number of famous people e.g Mark Owen - Take That, Elle Macpherson - Model, Brian May - Queen, Richard Dreyfuss - Jaws, Close encounters of the Third Kind, etc, etc

Years ago saw Paul Nicholas (Gavin Sullivan EE) and he was nice.

I talk to Roxane McKee (Louise Summers HO) and told her she was gorgeous (which she was!) and she was very nice to me about it.

The one I was extremely gutted not to stop and talk to because I didn't really recognise them until they walk past me as I wasn't paying too much attention was Guy Burnet (Craig Dean HO). Couldn't believe it was actually him which means I was so shocked that by the time he had walked pass me I didn't want to turn around and chase after him like a demented fan because of course I was a big McDean fan and he had just left the show the second time after coming back for the SE.

Those are really nice stories to hear. Im glad Chris and John are lovely in real life..they certainly seem like they would be so its awesome that they live up to that impression. I have a lot of respect for famous people who stay down-to-earth and friendly.
