so obviously no-one in here has seen much of Barca or Chile these last few seasons. Bravo has been pretty poor since joining City, but to claim he isn't a good keeper - or even a keeper at all - is clearly silly.

Makeshift defence and Aguero on the bench...
I have no idea why Aguero was on the bench, or brought on when he was, both poor decisions by Pep.

Messi isn't just world class, he's on a different planet completely.
I always love how he stands around waiting for the ball it looks really lazy, it's like he has the right because he's so good.

I mentioned that he 'looked like a dud', and was told in no uncertain terms that he was a top-class 'keeper.

Still waiting to see much evidence of that.
Was that the Barca/Celtic/Liverpool fan that said that?

He really isn't that much of an improvement on Hart, certainly not worth all the hassle that went with trying to sign him at Hart's expense.

Does deluded Rodgers still think he can make top 6 with Celtic in the Prem League?
He was saying the plan was to be in the CL in the new year. Very deluded indeed.

16 goals in 15 games against (the best) English teams for Messi, and still people doubt whether he would be able to perform in the Premier League.

I don't think the "but can he do it on a cold Wednesday night in Stoke?" stuff is to be taken seriously.

To be fair, that's your type of comment (re messi)... but not on this occasion!

The not playing him, and sending him out on loan, rather than selling him outright.

By sending him out on loan, they are just delaying the decision to sell him, as it does look like there is no way back for him now.

I didn't say it was anyone in here. as recently as this past weekend when Pep was jokingly talking about bringing Messi to City, I heard/read opinions along the lines of him not having the bottle to leave Barca for the PL, he wouldn't have it as "easy" as he does in Spain etc

The main problem is English sides are as far from challenging Spanish sides as ever

are you able to tell me which offers they turned down to sell him? I'm certainly not aware of any.

so "hassle" amounts to not much more than "they changed their keeper" then...

Joe Hart might be having a little smirk somewhere in Turin...

Hard enough going to Barca playing well and without making any mistakes.

No famous Celtic night in Glasgow...

Can anyone explain why a Napoli goal was disallowed?

Napoli were attacking down the right wing when one of their team strayed into an offside position at the far post but not interfering with play. The ball was crossed into the penalty area where a Besiktas defender struck out a leg to try and kick the ball out for a corner, only succeeding to deflect the ball onto the bar and subsequently dropped to the 'offside' forward to score with an overhead kick. The goal was not given for offside but l thought if the ball was played by an opponent, the forward was then 'onside'.

Have l missed something?
