The question I have, is why did he bring him on, when the game was over, what was he expecting from Aguero?

It did look like they had a gameplan from the off, but when they did create chances, there was no one to really put them away.

De Bruyne is wonderful, fantastic player, but a goalscorer he is not, so playing him as the furthest forward player, and hoping that he could nick a goal, was I think an error.
If you are going to play like that, then you might as well just play Aguero, as he is far more likely to nick a goal, then De Bruyne.
Mourinho played him in that position against your team, in that turgid 0-0 game at Old Trafford early in the 13/14 season. Didn't work then either.

Man City maybe just rested Aguero, they were really going to lose either way against Barcelona and De Bruyne and Gundogan needed the match for fitness after injuries.

Aguero doesn't work back as well as KDB - it was wholly defensive and failed due to issues elsewhere. Haven't Aguero and Pep also crossed swords recently on something - that could explain the sub

Sterling definitely should have had a penalty there. Terrible decision.

He might have done had he not gone to ground so theatrically.

And Barcelona have picked City off on the counter-attack to take the lead.

One of the best counter-attack goals I've seen in a while.

Apparently city got it pretty much right away to Barca two weeks ago, I would hate to have seen what have happened had they got it wrong then

Barca look like scoring every time they get forward.

MC haven't been that bad themselves.

Just goes to show that Barca are as capable of switching off at the back as City are.

I think Barcelona are hoping Half time comes quickly so they can regroup and play like they were playing ten minutes ago
