Oh they won't do it for all the other weeks during a series. They'd only do it for the very last hour of the very last live feed of the series.

I definitely agree with you. I remember there were one or two scenes in the last CBB that seemed completely scripted/directed to me and people commented on it at the time (I can't remember entirely but one was where Tiffany and John were in the bathroom). It's a bit fishy.

Got to say, I believe Chris when he says nothing else was staged.

Chris was treated appallingly (he even said in the tweet), so he certainly wouldn't defend them and lie.

I believe most other ex HMs would just sing the tune and lie.

You're clearly just completely determined to believe in your own conspiracy.

It seems like scripting (or some direction, if people prefer that phrase) would be easier in a celebrity BB that maybe the normal one. With the fees being paid it has a sort of "acting" feel to it compared to the usual BB.

Just sums up what a mess 'Big Brother' is nowadays, topped off by this utter joke of a series.

@9_Hendo I wasn't thrilled. I Directed an EMPTY HOUSE. As per my job. Glad I'm not a Producer though, eh.

But the whole LF tonight was basically the HMs moving from one set piece to the next. The congratulations reshoot scene, HMs get changed/dolled up for a one song party, DR group chat. It wasn't just the goodnight set piece whilst fully dressed, and the HMs were even complaining about the extra work.

What in the world. I'm so confused. This is too much for my small brain.

I was just responding to the other poster who referred to it in that way suggesting Salv had come in to provide the real facts and (the poster) was enjoying laughing at everyone for getting worked up about it. Salv was just as shocked as the rest of us and I am still shocked anywho.

Chris was in the same BB as Helen Wood. I think if the forum search worked we'd find many a thread which talked about how dubious a lot of it seemed. Such as certain housemates getting the privilege of having access to several live feeds to watch other housemates.
Chris is a nice guy, but because he doesn't feel like his series was tainted in any way doesn't make it so.
But even if he is right, it's a completely different series and different situations.
You can't defend something from this series by claiming that your own series from a few years ago was legit and above board. You have to take these things by a case by case basis.

He's talking about how exactly the same thing happened in his series, on exactly the same night, for exactly the same reason, and only once.

Seems pretty straight forward to me, there's no reason to think this time is any different.

The question is not whether certain scenes are staged or not - if anyone still believes reality television to be some noble, unbiased fly-on-the-wall documentary, I've got a bridge to sell you, or whatever the British version of that idiom is. (Incidentally, knowing this in no way diminishes my own personal enjoyment of the dumb shit I watch to relax at the end of a long day.)

The question is, how could they possibly have messed up so badly and sent this out over the air? And the answer is, they didn't. There is very little chance that this was unintentional. So then the question is, who did it and why? And the answer to that is most likely a group of disgruntled members of production. I honestly can't think of any other logical explanation. And the execs at C5 and Endemol had already gone to bed. I know someone else had posted on here that production was sick of having to bend to the studio's and the network's demands, so that's a plausible motive. I mean, you guys have UnReal over there, right? As crazy as that show seems, it's not far from the truth.

Regardless, a bunch of very rich people are having a very bad night. So there's that.

To the celebrities on it from scripted reality shows, which nowadays seems to be many of them, if not most, it will feel perfectly normal and natural.
Maybe that's why in recent years they pick celebrities from that particular pool.

In fact I'm trying to think of one of this series' celebrities who didn't come from some kind of reality show. For the ones who didn't and who are the minority in there then social pressure from the others who see this staging as completely normal would make them feel silly for complaining about it. To the celebrities in there it may be par for the course. So if it's second nature to them then everything will feel to them as they think it should be.
