I think she wouldn't have been thrown out because she wasn't directly threatening him even when just talking about him. She was just saying that she hopes that someone teaches him a lesson in the way that someone she knows would teach someone a lesson.

Renee didn't actually make threats towards Bear when talking to Ricky. Anyway, I think she just vents about Bear when talking to other housemates. The fact that she hugged Bear at the end shows that she actually likes him when he's calm.

I like Renee but think that it is very unlikely she wields any sort of power with the mafia. Her ex-husband is an informant, her best friend is the daughter of an infamous informant and her father barely speaks to her.
