I think it's safe to say this show is toast.

RIP BB

Did you read the whole article? They're not saying it's being scrapped at all, they're saying it will probably be on at 10pm next year. Not a big deal at all. They're already advertising for contestants for 2017's BB.

Yes, I can read perfectly well thank you Zara!

You have misunderstood. With a proposed later time-slot, major scandal currently engulfing the show, and the new structured reality format, I predict that the show will not survive for much longer. Moving it to MTV for it's moronic audience alongside other brain-washing shows would be a smarter move.

I commend your staunch defense of the show, but everyone now knows that after 17 years it's dead in the water. The format is beyond stale and obviously staged. Last night's live feed performance proved it and viewers are not happy. The internet and social media are awash with the damning evidence. I doubt many people will watch the show live in future or even vote as they know exactly what is going on. The damage is done, the show has been exposed and there's no going back. People naive enough to vote have been conned out of their money and made a fool of by manipulative production tactics.

Fans have wised up, it's only a matter of time now. Ofcom are continually inundated with complaints and I suspect further revelations will come tumbling out once this current series has thankfully ended.

Well it doesn't help that they have Mr. Burns' nephew running the show by the looks of that picture.

There's only two good decisions Ben Frow has ever made for this programme:

1. Sacking Brian Dowling
2. Hiring Emma Willis

Shunting the programme to a later slot (RIP Live From The House - what there was of it) is a terrible idea and will inevitably kill it off altogether before long.

CBB is up Shits Creek and not a paddle in sight. Endemol and Channel 5 must be wigging out. The timing is so immaculate I'm thinking revenge from people on the inside.

The whole format is up to it's neck in scandal and controversy, not for the first time either.

Channel 5 should seriously put their spades down and stop digging if they want BB & CBB to survive, but I can't see it happening myself.

A graveyard slot is "ideal" for civilian BB - what is this idiot taking

You are entitled to your opinion but please don't speak for other fans with your long rant.

I enjoy the show for what it is, an hour of entertainment every evening, I don't take it seriously and I don't vote either and after 17 years on air it's a bit silly to still expect the show to follow the original 'social experiment' format and not have a certain amount of manipulation by the producers to cause drama.

Please, don't tell me when I can and cannot speak on an open forum. If I want to 'rant' as you put it, then I will, just like everyone else on here does - including yourself.

I'm very happy that you enjoy the fake 2016 programme format, however, it isn't for me.

Enjoy tonight's final, I hope your favourite wins

This is the first year for a while that the civilian version has been on at 9, so its just returning to the recent traditions.

This show is never going to go back to the way it was before - as you have said above.

Now that they have turned it into a low rent bastardisation of its former self, they are seeking the pub-chucking-out audience. You gotta be pissed to watch it.

That's the way it's going. Don't expect anything different.
