A glimpse behind the curtain

I thought I'd break off from the 11 page thread now that the dust is settling a bit.

Well I loved all this!

Finally you get a glimpse 'behind the curtain'

1: This isn't the first time this has happened this series, there was another 'happy times' montage that felt completely fake to me, now I know why.

2: I don't think the show is 'scripted' exactly but definitely structured

3: I was surprised how readily the HMs turned on the 'party' scene, it's like they all flicked a switch and knew exactly what to deliver

4: Some 'real talk' going on about how they've had enough

5: The casual BB voice and answering a HM directly in the house.

6: Ricky's 'great take' line, absolutely perfect. Maximum WTF factor for the bemused viewers (coincidental but hilarious)

7: For the unsuspecting viewer expecting some chat around the pool it was like 'welcome to the twilight zone MF"!"

It's not a surprise to me tbh, that's how tv works, they needed some shots and made them happen. It's like Top Gear, I see a passing shot of a car on the road and it's obvious the crew had to drive ahead, set up the shot and then they drove by but it looks like a spontaneous moment.

As to why it was broadcast. No matter what they're always filmed, the camera feeds from the house will be directed 'on the fly'. The person censoring the audio knew and few other production members too. Their contracts were up yesterday, that was their last day. What a perfect 'FU and goodbye' from them.

At least to some of the people who resisted the notion that a show like this is 100% genuine at least now they'll see there's people behind the scenes shaping the show, stewarding the story-lines and getting the shots they need.

This really is like c5's knickers falling down on stage. Hilarious!

Why are you so certain it was deliberate? These contracted ppl aren't all retiring to live in Barbados, they need references from their last place of work.

Well if they've been treated like crap, already have their next job lined up and don't want to put endemol on their CV then it's highly likely.

Plus you don't stream 45mins of mistake, you may stream a couple of minutes (without oversight/censoring) then pull the plug. But there's a monitor dedicated to what's actually going out at all times. Oh and a big red light.

Definitely not a mistake.

It was certainly deliberate for whatever reason. Don't know why.

So is it 100% conclusive it shouldn't have been aired? Dunno why they'd show it but seems impossible that they'd so massively drop the ball.
