Not straight away obviously but be a crucial turning point from which the show ultimately doesn't recover and sets it firmly on the path of terminal decline.

Lot's of previous TV shows have had such turning point moments even Dallas.

Will this scandal sow the seeds enough to put sufficient number's of people of the show in the long term?

In a word, no.

Stephen Bear winning might however.

But the live feed scandal is a bit of a storm in a teacup, really, You only have to look at the number of ex-housemates coming out to vigorously defend the show today when they could simply stay quiet. It rather tells its own story about the amount of fakery which goes on, i.e. very very little.

All that will happen I suspect as a result of last night's fallout is the scraps of live feed will disappear completely, which will go down as well on here as just about anything else they decide to do.

It's only a scandal to those that want it to be a scandal.

No not necessarily.
A glance at social media shows me people who don't want to believe it but reluctantly do.

IE not eager to be scandalised

I'm not sure how much credence people will give ex house mate's claims tbh.
They could simply be piping up in order to defend the integrity of their time on the show, they may have been asked to pipe up or doing it as a favour in the showbiz world that's been called in.

No. It'll be played down because it's accepted practice in a lot of these reality shows - sure plenty of viewers are playing it down themselves, even though BB isn't really supposed to be like that.

That said lots of us have thought for some time that BB have gone down that structured reality route which is grand but they should put a disclaimer on it like Chelsea, etc about scenes being created for entertainment. We might see that on future series but it'll continue to be popular with fans of other scripted reality shows. Set up scenes doesn't put off all viewers - it'll still have a following.

Probably not.

I honestly think the majority of the viewership has switched to the kinds of people who watch TOWIE et al. So it's just horses for courses. They'll loose what little of their original audience they had left. But they'll stay afloat with similar numbers with the new audience who not only expect it to be "structured" but who also don't give a flying.

It does, in my opinion, ruin the whole idea of BB but I doubt the new audience care about that either. It always seems odd to me when a T.V. show changes its entire identity to attract a new audience without caring about the old audience. But that seems to be the choice they've made.

Edit:

Actually, thinking about it, they don't care. That's why they're on here posting "So don't watch it." all the time. They don't seem to realise that it's essentially been hijacked to suit them.

In the words of Emma Willis: "I don't want to watch Geordie Shore and I don't want to watch Ex On The Beach, I want to watch Big Brother!" - so quite possibly, yes!

They do seem to have differing opinions on if it went on or not though. Dee Kelly and Chelsea Singh said it never happened while Chris and Ashleigh said it did happen but just that one scene (even tho it was clearly more than just the bedroom scene.)

So is it 100% conclusive it shouldn't have been aired? Dunno why they'd show it but seems impossible that they'd so massively drop the ball.

All live feed should now be permanently scrapped, once and for all.

It's well and truly ****ed.
Poor bear, if anyone had told me I'd ever feel sorry for him I'd have told them to piss right off but now I feel sorry for him. LOL!

It's the final episode... did you think the big dance-a-thons, and grand dinner where they all sit around and toast each other just randomly materialized at the end of each series like clockwork?

Scandal? It's painful to read this crap.

Bear says "I work for BB", and there are factions of morons actually taking it literally on here. Or Bear spells something wrong and people can't tell if he's taking the piss.

Everything is a hidden conspiracy according to the nellies on here.

It's not the Stanford Prison Experiment for Christ's sake, it's a bloody TV show. Get over it.

The last 20-30 mins of live feed and what was show, I have tried to paste a link but it's being shut down. Go to the post (WTF are we watching on live feed) and try to view one of the links.

Link goes nowhere. Because of some high level legal threat from C5/Endemol?

Thank you. I've Googled now and also seen some of the Tweets.......Looks like we've been taken for fools, and paid for the privilege if we've voted! Doesn't seem worth watching or commentating on here any more - the producers must be laughing at us all!

Basically they showed BB giving directions to HMs over the tannoy. He was telling them where to go, what to wear, how to behave and what to do.

Like a stage/film director.

They showed them HM's going to bed and saying goodnight to each other and BB, the lights went out. the a few minute later the lights went back on and they all got up again. This was all done with sound.
Then later, over birdsong, the HM's suddenly all went to the centre of the living room and danced madly like they were having a great party. They were showing off to the cameras etc. Bear was told what to wear, Marnie was made to change out of her night clothes (back into the clothes she had had on earlier that evening, I presume). Then the birdsong stopped and they went back to doing whatever they had been before.

How they are going to show this as happening BEFORE the HM's went to bed I do not know.

Go to post (WTF are we watching on live feed) and the video links on posts 40 and 41 both still work, I have just tried them both, they have the info you need.

If they are staging ANY scenes, they PTB need to make that clear at the beginning of every show. Either that or make voting free. You can't take money from viewers on the premise that everything that happens is unscripted and then stage manage scenes. I personally haven't voted in a series since they dropped LF but others do, and they need to be more transparent about what goes on, however trivial it may seem.

It would appear that this is a breach of the rules although it's pretty obvious it goes on.

Once they cross the line into having notifications though there's no going back and it might as well be TOWIE/GS/EOTB
