Well they weren't in the top 2, so....honestly it's just a bunch of nit-picking and sour grapes because people can't get Bear out.

I understand the frustration, I'd quite like Aubrey out and she has skilfully avoided even being up, but the game is what it is and what it has always been, we knew that before we started watching the series.

Yeah, it all feels very different. Usually there's more excitement but there's.. nothing, really. I think people are just accepting the fact that Bear will (probably) win and don't have much energy to post about it.

I find it strange how people can watch for so long and still remain so resolutely unsympathetic to a character.
I had my initial dislike towards certain housemates but now at the end of the series having watched them all for 4 weeks i quite like them all , they have all shown me things about themselves that make me respond to them on a human level. They all have their faults and weakness and their good points , just describing Bear as a moron seems lame and lacking any inteligence.
Its ironic that the rudeness and name calling comes from the very people who lambast bear for his poor behaviour.

During the last civilian BB, this board was full of humour and I really enjoyed it. There are some great posters around usually, sadly, as this series has been so awful, they have stayed away, but they'll be back. ”

I joined during the last civilian BB and the board was exactly the same - full of arguments between the Jason fans and the Ryan/Hughie/Lateysha fans. I was a Jason fan and I'm also a Bear fan.

I looked back at some posts from January and there were so many in the same vein - people supporting the reality stars vs those who didn't like them.

All this doomsday end of days stuff is a exaggeration.

I don't know about the civilian BB being all that great either. Yes, the cast had real potential, but they and the civilian format was treated with utter contempt. From the live twist debacle to the fact it was cut short to make time this more awful than usual CBB to Jason being booed out of the house as the winner. Big Brother has taken a gradual nosedive beyond mediocrity and into the gutter.

It's not nit-picking to point out that the public did not decide who left out of Marnie and Chloe.

It's correcting your misconception.

And I'm not 'sour' or 'bitter' or a 'dinosaur' or any of the other fave insults aimed at anyone who thinks this particular series has been a load of old bollocks - I'm on a BB forum, wasting my life, discussing BB

I wasn't intending to insult anyone man, I was just speaking generally and I believe what I'm saying to be accurate in that Bear is the source of all the angst.

When not being able to get what they want, people are directing their ire towards BB as being complicit and trying to find fault in the general process.

The whole "I'm not going to watch any more" (and we know fine well they'll be watching) is the mental equivalent if "if you're not going to do what I want, I'm taking my ball and going home".

Also, nothing one enjoys doing is a waste, what is life for if not to be enjoyed.

He's obviously going to win and I probably will watch as I've nothing else to do tonight.

There's nothing to say on here this season.

Group A can't stand Bear and haven't seen enough of the others to have a decent discussion that doesn't relate to their interactions with Bear.

Group B think Bear is great and can do no wrong - and every other hm can do no right (except, maybe that idiot Marnie).

That's about all that's been said on here, from what I can say. How sad.”

It has been a bad series Patsy. The nice debates we used to have on here have almost disappeared and I think it is time to say farewell to BB. I fully expect the man child to win tonight which, to me, sends out a very bad message to many younger people that are watching. It is NOT OK to behave as he has and I thank God that my children and grandchildren are well mannered, polite and are not cruel to other people.

Basically the board has a high proportion of older more stern members and they dont like Bear and they are not happy and they have spent the last 4 weeks venting their displeasure on the forum.
And us bear supporters have borne the brunt of it.
Fyi people are allowed to support Bear.
Bear for the win

Fair enough

I think that some of the criticisms of the process are legitmate ones. I don't think it's controversial to suggest that the edit has been very Bearcentric throughout the entire series - because it has been.

And it's only really the little bits of LF we've been given that have allowed us to have a break from him and see some of the others.

That's not in the spirit of BB and I'm not even complaining that he's an RTV person or anything - the basic premise of the show is to put them in a house and observe them............ALL of them.

Yes I agree, some people do say they're not going to watch anymore and don't really mean it but others actually do and won't.

I consider myself to be a BB fan but there have been some series, both CBB and BB that I haven't watched a single episode of.

I also don't have a problem with them adapting the format to include RTV folk, if they must and because the budget won't accommodate the booking of big names. But to do that in an attempt to make BB some kind of The Only Way is Ex on a Shore show isn't fair IMO because those shows already exist for those who enjoy them.

Rant over - and thanks for embarking upon a bit of a discussion with me..........I've missed that this year.

Totally agree with OP. I've watched and posted here since the beginning although I forgot my username at one point so re-registered and I've only logged in now to say I don't even bother logging in anymore. (And I'm only typing this cause I'm waiting for my flight home from Ibiza so have nothing better to do....)

I've seen the Bear Defence Force just going through every thread and posting Bear related comments whether they're relevant or not.

I don't know if I'll be back, it got awfully boring and tiring responding to them.

If this is the demographic and show BB wants then so be it. The show will get worse, the ratings will fall off further and the forums will get more toxic.

Not sure I want to be a part of that.

Good luck to Stephen tonight and all his fans, it's obviously important for you all.

RIP BB”

I get where you're coming from it can be draining going back and forth with some fms especially when they're pretending to be faux outraged but it's best to skim over those replies rather than giving them any time and attention.

I echo what some posters have already said, I've really enjoyed your posts they're fun and humorous

As an older forum member and having watched BB and Celeb BB from the start its sad to see this forum so lack lustre. At one time the website used to crash on finals nights because there was so much activity on here. The board has always had arguments, heated, constructive, destructive and always had favourites. If people think there has been angst about Bear this time round they didn't see the angst caused when Aaron won! However it was a different picture back then and I think since the Chanel changed we have seen more and more manipulation by the Production team. I used to vote back in the day but think I stopped somewhere around BB5 or BB6 as the penny dropped for me. I stopped watching civilian BB after Helen and haven't enjoyed watching this time around for reason others have expressed. This is not so much because of Bear, Perez was equally irritating but because of the focus on him by the Producers. We haven't got to know the others, the Social Experiment has been lost to the "Game" and bringing in the Americans is good but for anyone who has watched the American BB's the game is played entirely different there and so our culture perceives this as the "game playing" strategy. BB used to be fun. We got to know the characters through live feed and I was so hooked at this time that I used to watch as much LF as I could and fill my boots. The producers manipulate us nowadays not just the housemates if they can and certainly play to the ratings rather than our entertainment. The demographic is reality fans rather than those interested in the social experiment aspect of the programme. My concern is also the safety of the housemates. How anyone can survive with someone like Bear or Perez for a whole month is beyond me. I would come out with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome! Which leads me to think it truly is scripted and as part of their contract the players tow the party line. Just musing. I really don't know if I will watch the next Celeb BB. Debating in my mind and wondering if it can get any worse. What a shame.
