Really disappointed EE are making Steven a villain again, he was working incredibly well as the good son. Now he's got a shelf life as Ian will no doubt find out soon and toss him out.

I am not happy about it either. He was a nice character but now he is back doing bad things. I hope he has a good reason like to get the Beales more money in the long run or something.

I was never convinced with the good guy act anyway

I think a line is drawn when you shoot a woman and leave her infertile.

Bad Steven is good Steven for me. Shake this family up. I'm rooting for his plans of mass destruction on the Beales

I'm really disappointed too. I know it's daft because what's the point of everyone being happy in a soap, but I was liking his and Ian's relationship.

I quite like it....if he is indeed negative...then it'd add something good to the mix....seeing different shades....I like the actor. Dark scheming sides are always intriguing. [If its true]

I'm disappointed too! I was really enjoying his redemption after years and years as the "outcast" He doesn't have to be a choir boy but I was really hoping he was genuine about building bridges with his family.

I don't understand. He was desperate to get his old life with Ian back and now he's putting it all at risk.

I'll thank you all to leave MySteven alone! When he's being bad we just get to see his sexy moody side so I for one won't mind him reverting to his dark ways! And anything that hurts the beales is a winner in my book as they haven't even started to pay for their callous and evil behaviour. I'm still hoping Steven wants revenge on Jane for what she did to Lucy and revenge on Ian for just accepting it all when he found out.

That's part of his plan. He just can't rock up and cause mayhem immediately. He has to earn their trust first. Surely it was obvious when he turned up out of the blue, acting cagey about what had gone on with Peter and apparently OK with the Lucy business that he was up to something.

If covering up your daughter's death/dragging your ex-step daughter's body to the common and sleeping with her father on the same spot she died doesn't give you a shelf life, then I'm pretty sure that Steven doesn't have to leave.

That said, Aaron was coy when asked how long he was back for

Steven on EE is like David Platt on CS: it's more interesting when he's naughty or evil.

The restaurant kerfuffle was the opposite of what I had expected: I thought that some random criminal had broken in and stolen the equipment, and then I was expecting Steven or Ian to buy a load of cheap replacements off the internet, only to find it was their own stuff they were buying back.

Instead, it was Steven that sold it: perhaps there might be an interesting explanation why?

I'm kind of disappointed in a sense because the Beales do need rebuilding what with Bobby in the youth offenders, Lucy dead and Cindy and Peter away. Steven seemed like a good opportunity to build the family back into a unit again, rather than it just being Ian and Jane. I am disgusted at Ian though, on top of everything he and Jane have done to Lucy since she was murdered, he then tries to use her name fraudulently and then have the nerve to say it was good to see her name being used again?! They really have treated Lucy like a piece of dirt instead of honoring her memory.

I really like the "new" Steven. I am hating Jane right now! She was quick to have a go at Steven for the credit card application, but be all calm and nice when finding out it was Ian!!

I appreciate what Steve did in the past was completely wrong but no more wrong that her precious Bobby did, and all Jane kept saying about Bobby was "he is a good boy really"!!

I just hope this isn't the start of the end of Steven as I really like him and think there would be so many SL they could do.

Same here, especially after taking the blame for the credit card application.

Never liked him, never trusted him, he never even acted especially sorry or guilty. He turned up all arrogant expecting everyone to just accept him and to be honest the character really annoys me - he acts so full of himself and doesn't portray any depth, meekness or vulnerability. Just not what I'd expect from a character with his backstory.

Surely it was an insurance scam that would have helped the business for Ian and put a few Bob in his own pocket. If he'd pulled it off it would have been a win/win.
