is the fact she can't be objective. She lets her personal feelings for that person get in the way. It was clear during that Bear interview how much he irritated her in the house. Why reel off a list of bad things he's done yet not mention Aubrey'sspitting or Renee's threats
I just wish she'd bugger off. Rubbish presenter.

She is no Davina (for all her faults) but infinitely better than the horror that was Brian

I noticed in the Marnie interview she asked Marnie questions and simply answered the questions for her.
Marnie was just sat there going along with it and taking whatever Emma said. Like, "Yeah, that'll do, I'll take that for my answer".

She's just a shill for Big Brother. That's why she made a remark like "she doesn't stop talking", when Sam revealed what happened to her contact lens and that she needed medical attention because of Bear. BB kept Bear in despite him ignoring final warnings. Speaks for itself.

Its not newsnight, shes not interviewing members of parliament, so i don't see the need for her not too hide who are her favourites, be passionate, or give ones who deserve it a hard time.

Really Emma is a presenter, not an interviewer. She's a VERY good presenter but needs more training on interviews. {BB should send her on a few courses it's really simple.]

Basic interview technique is :
1) Ask 'open' questions not 'closed'.

2) Don't 'lead' people to the answer within the question
I.E. Don't say 'We all love ice cream, do you?' because there is usually only one obvious answer and you don't get the truth. Ask "What do you think of ice cream?" instead.

3) Don't ask multiple questions because the person answering will pick the easy answer and ignore the difficult/awkward ones.

4) Only ask closed questions for clarification.

5) Don't be afraid to ask again if they don't answer.

6) Probe deeper into things that matter asking things like 'What do you mean by that' or "tell me more.'

If she used a bit more of the above we'd get better interviews.

She loves the sound of her own voice too much. She will ask a question, give her own opinion first (in a really slow, drawn out way), then interrupt them and give her own opinion again.

That's not the point though - the point is that her methods don't work.

She just got up Bear's nose today - he knew what she was trying to do and didn't let her get away with it. She got absolutely nothing out of him and he ran rings around her.

A waste of time.

She talks and explains more than the person she's interviewing.

But then again the hms are getting that vapid they need it dumbing down the poor sods.

My god, it's Big Brother not Question Time. People are expecting her to grill the HMs like Jeremy Paxman. BB fans are the mooniest on the internet. They will never be happy with the show. Even in the heyday during BB5-7 on here people were constantly moaning about this that and the other.

There's good reasons to be annoyed. If you can ignore it or are unable to see it then that's probably a good thing. I'll keep whinging because she's a bad interviewer and because I find her incredibly irritating in general.

yes, very true
she doesn't treat all HMs the same and lets some of them skate by with a fluff interview and then tries to grill the ones she personally doesn't like (usually the females but she was fluffy with Aubrey and Marnie compared to Chloe)

I noticed in the Marnie interview she asked Marnie questions and simply answered the questions for her.
Marnie was just sat there going along with it and taking whatever Emma said. Like, "Yeah, that'll do, I'll take that for my answer".
yes, and then she said what a sweet girl Marnie was. I do think Marnie is sweet but that interview was all Emma answering her own questions.

she lets her true feelings get in the way of being professional
she often doesn't like attractive sexual females. I was surprised she was so light and fluffy with Marnie as opposed to her interview with Chloe.

Really Emma is a presenter, not an interviewer. She's a VERY good presenter but needs more training on interviews. {BB should send her on a few courses it's really simple.]

excellent and it is interviewing 101 (basic principles of interviewing)

She loves the sound of her own voice too much. She will ask a question, give her own opinion first (in a really slow, drawn out way), then interrupt them and give her own opinion again.
yep, she did that with Marnie

Bear totally owned and controlled that interview. Also she didn't seem to understand him. He didn't break up with his girlfriend before the show because he didn't know that he was going to get with Chloe. He didn't know what was going to happen (that he was going to meet someone he didn't want to resist) just like she didn't wear a red dress....life just didn't work out that way. Basically I'm not going to give you the details and read about it in the tabloids

She is utterly dreadful.

One thing not mentioned is that she does one 'tough' interview per series (which is so clumsy she basically tears them apart). I presume to be taken seriously.

I noticed in the Marnie interview she asked Marnie questions and simply answered the questions for her.
Marnie was just sat there going along with it and taking whatever Emma said. Like, "Yeah, that'll do, I'll take that for my answer".
Yep, she asks questions, then the interviewee starts to try to answer them, then |Emma interrupts to give them at least one possible answer, then lets the interviewee just agree with something she's said. Rinse and repeat.

The Chloe interview this series (only one I saw apart from Frankie) and some people were saying Emma had to do all the talking because Chloe didn't have anything to say. That's not true at all. She may have been shocked as it went on at Emma's attacks, but she did start to try to answer questions, and appeared quite capable of doing so...she just didn't get very far before Emma interrupted her again. It seemed like Emma had to get all her digs in in the veiled form of 'questions' rather than actually conduct an interview.

She's just a shill for Big Brother. That's why she made a remark like "she doesn't stop talking", when Sam revealed what happened to her contact lens and that she needed medical attention because of Bear. BB kept Bear in despite him ignoring final warnings. Speaks for itself.
This has become so clear imo Last night I tried to watch to see how she would handle Bear as winner but thankfully fell asleep well before that. Before I did she said something praising Geordie Shore and/or Towie contestants! WTF?

Rylan is on a different level at interviews to her
He's very good. He asks the hard questions but in a professional and non-judgemental way, so the interviewee doesn't get riled up and actually answers.

Agree. Constantly interrupts which is annoying to watch and I thought she was quite frankly rude to Chloe and Bear. Aubrey was far more offensive but got let off.

She had the hardest job with that idiot last night because he wasn't letting her interview him. She said she had been dreading it for ages and it's obvious why. He is just the most dire, rude, ignorant idiot I think I have ever seen make a large amount of money out of gullible people. If this is the was to go in the future, I'm out. He will go the way of all these reality people, drop into oblivion. Moron.

It's the long drawn out, round the houses time it takes her to formulate a question which she then all too often answers herself

However, the idiot of a winner was obstructive so not much she could do...I suspect he had his army of fans in rapture at his oh so witty and hilarious use of the word 'pancakes' so they get what they vote for and wow wasn't it 'entertaining' .

They would have been better off not interviewing him, nothing to achieve really.
