The stark truth is that Bear won because he appeals to stupid people....

I think it's simplistic to say all of the people who found him entertaining are stupid.

I think the people who actually vote, for any HM, are probably not playing with a full deck. But that's a rather snobby opinion -- I'll concede that.

My lasting memory of Bear on CBB will be how unhappy and angry he seemed to be almost all the time. The only time he seemed happy was when he had succeeded in making someone else upset and uncomfortable.

Anyone who finds that 'entertaining' worries me. Not because they're stupid; because that's very disturbing behaviour to find 'entertaining'.”

I agree with this completely.

I have watched less and less of the show this year I like to see who is nominated and who is evicted, and I was hoping for more coverage of some of the other HMs, but I find Bear unwatchable and have to turn the volume down when he is on screen, which is most of the time.

It's really sad that after a month of inspirational, heroics by Team GB in Rio there are some people celebrating an immature little bully like Stephen Bear.

Big Brother may be viewed by some as a silly TV show but over the years it's been a true reflection of the degeneration of our society.”

Yes, I agree, particularly with the bit I put in bold. I remember Iain Lee said this on BOTS once during the last Olympics. He said something along the lines of, "During this summer, we've had all these sporting heroes training as hard as they can and doing amazingly well, and then we have someone like Conor who behaved the way he did and got £50,000."

My thoughts as well.
Still guess they have money to burn but having said that we are not told (not that I know) just how many vote, only the percentage.
Could have been just a few K's

Clever post Stegan. I totally agree with both you and the OP.

My opinion anyway.”

Audrey spat in his food FGS, a much worse crime in my book.

The pieing incident was surely just a simple case of retribution.

University is not a sign of being smart . Anyone can study pointless stuff and get graded it means absolutely nothing to a person's intelligence
What's ironic is how stupid this thread is ,

He asked her to as a sign of defiance after he'd been told what she'd done.

You people would be baying for blood if Bear had spat in someone's food, double standards a-go-go.

I don't see any double-standards concerning Aubrey at all.

EVERYONE said that Aubrey spitting in his food was disgusting and well out of order.

I went as far as to say she should have been ejected for it, but she wasn't and there's nothing any of us could have done about that.

The only double-standard I've seen throughout the show is people who like Bear, point-blank refusing to acknowledge any wrongdoing whatsoever on his part and then going nuclear when eg Renee hid his stupid little mask or Aubrey tore him a new one.

And whatever his reason for letting Aubrey spit in his mouth - wasn't that disgusting too?

I think he enjoyed it and called her kinky.

I'm sure someone must have spat in my food (and yours) probably at some point and we're both still here and whilst I don't condone the behaviour, it's unpleasant but not the end of the world.

Given the ordeal Stephen put everyone through I'm ok with it personally, for him, he kinda earned it.

That's just me, just saying.

Exactly I thought what Aubrey did was vile.

However given bear didn't give a toss why should we

His choice though, it wasn't inflicted on him behind his back. Surely even Bear detractors can appreciate the difference.

I thought she was disgusting and I thought he was disgusting.

I said at the time, I would have had to be removed if she did that to me.

But people on here seemed to be way more offended by it than he was - a bit of outrage by proxy methinks.

Just to say i agree that there haven't been any double standards about the Aubrey spitting incident.

Virtually everybody I've seen, at the time and on this thread, Bear lover or hater has said that it was disgusting and there was no excuse for it.

The stark truth is that Big Brother did everything they could to ensure that Bear would win the show Thats the reality of the situation, at the end of the day bear will be forgotten about, and he will end up as one of the worst winners in BB's history.

I just hope Big Brother don't bring in any more ex on the beach,Geordie Shore, Made in Chelsea, The only way is essex and others into the house.

The OP is right and I don't understand why there's even an argument against

BB has almost cultivated a militant Chavvery

'The shows audience' is right there to see every eviction, eyes slightly too close together, badly tatted bingowings-a-flapping, the oranged bleached and beached, holding the signs they made at home (hopefully with round-nose scissors and supervision)

'Woop Wo-op'ing through the title music loud and proud in knowing defiance of all those who refer to it as the 'call of the moron'

OWNING the Chavvery

Emma appears through the eye, takes one last look at the floor, visibly smiles through embarrassed teeth and starts her walk, gradually raising her head, arms and expected role as chirpy presenter

Bottom line is..

Those with any modicum of self-awareness or self respect/intelligence don't flock to Boreham Wood to be - or be with - that kind of crowd, they won't travel, queue, stand around in the cold to be told what to do/boo/cheer nor will they spend hard-earned money voting on obviously pre-arranged outcomes

Those that do are I'm afraid - generally - 'a sort', a sort who are wowed enough by it all to make the pilgrimage and WANT to be seen in the crowd of a show that enjoys the company of a Joe Walsh, looks up to an Ami Childs, sees themselves in a Bear

My family are Chavs so I'm no snob looking down I just know my onions from being raised around it, my daughters aunt goes to the evictions, she has no voice of her own, no taste, no opinion, no aims, no wide horizons no fuss no bother, she made the family dinner once in 1993 when she was 28

they still talk about it today
