OP you're coming across worse than the person you dislike.
hmmmm, let's see... An individual who went out of his way to torment and psychology torture the people he lived with to the point that they broke down into tears vs an individual who questions the psychological competence of the people who enjoy to watch it. Thank you for verifying OP's statement.

And we certainly know there's plenty of them watching the show. I would be amazed if there was a single university graduate amongst those who voted tonight. He certainly appealed to the Helen Wood demographic!

He has absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever. He's a slow-witted, obnoxious, boorish, bullying no-mark. Only twice did I ever get pleasure from his involvement: when the security guard put him in his place, showing what a coward he was; and when Aubrey verbally destroyed him.
Well what an intellectual snob you are. I hate (and I don't remember another time I have used this word on DS) but I really hate people who suggest that because some is slow witted or words of similar definition they are not worthy of praise of any kind. We cannot all be Einstein. If you had stopped at bully, Okay this is certainly not a nice trait. In honesty I have seen far worse on Big Brother - even this year. For me spitting in someones food was unacceptable, making fun of a period of history that hurt many, was unacceptable, suggesting acts of violence towards another person, is unacceptable. Did I like Bear, no not really but he really was quite innocent compared to many housemates this year or past.

The OP is right and I don't understand why there's even an argument against

BB has almost cultivated a militant Chavvery

'The shows audience' is right there to see every eviction, eyes slightly too close together, badly tatted bingowings-a-flapping, the oranged bleached and beached, holding the signs they made at home (hopefully with round-nose scissors and supervision)

'Woop Wo-op'ing through the title music loud and proud in knowing defiance of all those who refer to it as the 'call of the moron'

OWNING the Chavvery

Emma appears through the eye, takes one last look at the floor, visibly smiles through embarrassed teeth and starts her walk, gradually raising her head, arms and expected role as chirpy presenter

Bottom line is..

Those with any modicum of self-awareness or self respect/intelligence don't flock to Boreham Wood to be - or be with - that kind of crowd, they won't travel, queue, stand around in the cold to be told what to do/boo/cheer nor will they spend hard-earned money voting on obviously pre-arranged outcomes

Those that do are I'm afraid - generally - 'a sort', a sort who are wowed enough by it all to make the pilgrimage and WANT to be seen in the crowd of a show that enjoys the company of a Joe Walsh, looks up to an Ami Childs, sees themselves in a Bear

My family are Chavs so I'm no snob looking down I just know my onions from being raised around it, my daughters aunt goes to the evictions, she has no voice of her own, no taste, no opinion, no aims, no wide horizons no fuss no bother, she made the family dinner once in 1993 when she was 28

they still talk about it today
However there seems to be an honesty in what they do, they follow what they like. They don't appear to dislike something yet go onto a forum to write about it and belittle people who do get of their backsides and join in. They do put their money where their mouth is and not just become keyboard warriors mocking people who are different from them.

I clearly said it's NOT about stupidity. It's a different trait of characteristics altogether that allows someone to find an individual wrecking others' experience and setting out to distress them, funny.
I totally agree with you Patsy - however I feel I may differ in accepting that Bear set out to distress anyone. He might well have - I honestly am not sure, I just got the feeling he just played the game the way he thought he would WIN it - I never felt he took other peoples emotions on it was always about him being centre stage and him getting the lions share of the airtime. I didn't feel he entertained other peoples emotions at all.

I was answering the OP's observation and agreeing on something that people were jumping down his/her neck to drown out with knee-jerk victim-talk, I'm not just jumping out of bushes with some kind of random negativity, it's a forum for opinion

Why should it be belittling? if truth's belittling then that's on those who chose to feel belittled not me

My point should've read 'the gullible' which contains the intelligent stupids too

ps honesty is a good quality, it's just worrying when naive or willful ignorance is in the saddle riding it

I understand. I just feel "the truth" would be your truth as you see it - not necessarily Factual truth. My own truth would be that Bear is the lesser of many evils we have seen in the big brother house this series and previously.
