I guess a lot of us die-hards keep watching through habit. I know I do and will probably watch the next one. But, Dear Lord! It's gone so downhill. I used to suffer with withdrawal back in the day. I still watch it but am glad when it's over nowadays which is a bit sad.

Yes it gets quite draining doesn't it? I will need to attend a mindfulness meditation course before I have the energy to attend another one!

I went off it a good while back and didn't watch a few series but took a notion of checking bb17 out and ended up loving it so thought I'd try this one but it was woeful so I'm off it again.

I'll probably dip into the next civilian one. It's always worth having a wee look because some series are better than others. I wasn't keen on the ch5 series so stopped watching but bb17 turned out to be one of my favourites.

I'm not a die hard anymore - I'm cured. Can take it or leave it. CBB will be left I can assure you. Boy, it's baaaadddd.

BB17 saved civilian BB after a bad couple of years.

This series imo has done the opposite.

But you know what.... I'll always watch it!!

Yeah, I'm kind of in shock. I'm just amazed at how bad it's been, what the producers have got away with, how Stephen has been allowed to behave and I can't really believe he's actually won.
I mean it was on the cards and he's the 'deserving winner of this pile shit' (as I've written before) but it all just feels so wrong, the whole thing. Like how has this been allowed to happen?

There's no justice and I still can't believe this man has supporters. I still don't understand that after all this time on the forum because none of them really gave any insight into their thinking. It was always very simple, provocative replies. I think we had a lot of Stephen wannabes on the board.

It's just weird.

Yep, i agree with Salv. BB17 was a positive improvement in places.

I will look at CBB in the summer as a completely different show and direction which i doubt i will be invested in so much.

Erm...no.

Bear is appearing every week in MTV's Ex on the Beach and his exploits on that are making daily headlines.

You could be right. I started watching the recent series of Coach Trip after missing quite a few series and it seemed Big Brotherified (!) All young ones, not a mix like it used to be, and a lot of loud, obnoxious ones who, if you aren't loud and a bit thick like them, decree you are boring and shouldn't be there.

More arguing and cliques and that horrible word 'banter'. Its jus bantah, innit.

Think I've got too old for reality shows. Coach Trip is too wild and trashy for me now.

I'm the same, old habits die hard. I tune in to hope it improves but my days each series this year hasn't been enjoyable, the casting is getting to be a case of who you dislike that least. The winners have been by default really and just very poor.

It's not what it use to be even bb8 onwards was over a higher standard than this year's allotments.

I'm actually happy this year's finished with, which like you say is odd as being a BB junky I use to hate in when it was over and done with. I haven't even watched the last to finale bots. it's just like pulling teeth.

Because he's an idiot and no normal member of society would gravitate towards someone like him

After this summer's civilian BB I was ready to quit (3rd series running I've given up on half way through).

This celeb series was a good one, though. I'll be back in January and hopeful.

Going by the younger viewers standards of entertainment today past hms and the great older series would be deemed boring.

It's a sad reflection of what's deemed relevant and admirable in todays society.

Even this forum has been effected, its just name calling galore whereby younger supporters that seem to obsess ruthlessly over their favoured scripted reality type stars can't take anyone else's opinions but their own.

it has changed a lot a few of the hms have done things that in the past would have got them ejected from the show

Wow mtv I'm sure his shelf life as an alister will be long lived.

He's an ex sh#g of another irrelevant zlister that's even more prolific.

When it comes to bbs favoured mead a junky hms the rule book goes out of the window.

No consistency and it actually makes a mockery out of BB.

Don't know what you're talking about I thought it was a good series. Certainly better than the summer series. They can't cast good housemates for the summer series to save their lives. To top it off Bear was a very deserving winner (most entertaining housemate should always be the winner). The summer series winner was rubbish (thanks vote to evict). Can't even remember his name.

That's very true. I used to love having a favourite. Now it feels very negative - well, my posts are anyway. They're usually about the people I don't like and any favourites are favourites by default - like you say, who you dislike least or how they deal with those I don't like, etc, etc. It would be nice to post about who I love but that rarely happens now.

How fake was vikki seriously? her attempts to sound sweet, less Geordie, polite and shy was hilarious, she even upped her pitch.

As if she'd also be the peace maker and keep outta drama......all these scripted lot are doing is hoodwinking the gullible by rebranding themselves when their shelf life of drinking/partying/sexing is coming to and end. its a formula that seems to be lapped up by the GBP??????

If only, the negativity just reflects how the casting and overall theme of each series is now a days. It's a real shame when we all use to get behind the hms so passionately and vote each week, now it's just block voting occasionally to stop someone you dislike the least walking away with it. The rare nice hms also only seem to do well now because they're the last saving grace against an entirely disposable line up, it is merely by default. Where are the true characters, it shouldn't be a choice been the one trick media pony and the nice cruiser.
I find even the finale now a days so unpredictable, even worthier hms are leaving first etc its just really baffling. I must be getting so out of sync with the younger kids that want well morons to win that simply perform like annoying immature monkeys. you know when cbb is lent rely entered around desperados trying to be controversial to become somewhat famous its lost its angle.
