I can think of a good few Americans who would have been Fabtastic winners, but we get left with people like Bear, Charlotte Crosby and Scotty T. I literally can't think of any decent worthy CBB winner from the Channel 5 era.

Americans wont ever win because of the vote to save. It's only because of the poor housemates this year that the 3 Americans made the final despite how entertaining they were. When you're up against reality tv people & you're an American with very little UK fan base you're lucky to get anywhere near the end!

I'm guessing it's because the public can relate more to British people.

True.

He had that eccentricity about him and was a bit of an underdog.

Appealed to the Brits.

Yes - some of the things the Americans come out with are just too OTT and insincere.

Renee to Aubrey as she left: 'I love you more than anything in the world'. Bit much.

I like it that the Americans tend generally to be articulate and in touch with their feelings, but it is often turns to bullshit and fakeness which is usually what turns me off.
