Why did he often stop speaking "normally" and revert to this wierd toddler like voice including the mannerisms of a child........speaking very slowly and huffing and sighing like a child having a tantrum. He's a grown man.

Or is he just thick.

Because he finds it hard to be a grown up man and does not want to take responsiblity for his action so he goes into child mode hoping that adults excuse him of his behavior.

It seems to work for Joe Swash.

It worked on him Mother.

And it works on the stupid girls he's with.

And he thinks it'll work on other people. And guess what? It probably did.

Which is depressing.

And stupid.

He also seems to scream like a little girl a lot. Very infantile for sure.

You have to remind yourself that he's actually 26.

His dad seems to do it too in his drunken rant video, when he shouts "leave me alone" and then what sounds like "Tell her, Dan"

He dresses like a child as well. Has he got any adult clothes?

All these problems and he still won BB.

That's the worst thing. People are actually impressed by this man talking like a toddler.

The child voice and the Ooooh!! Ooooh!! when other people were having a discussion of any sort that didn't involve him really made me cringe.

He didn't really have to contend with any towering intellects in the house but even so, I saw it more of an attempt to infantilise and trivialise the opinions of others because he doesn't have the ability to engage on a grown up level.

ETA - this is juvenile behaviour, you often see kids do it and get applauded by their peers for "winning" an argument.

He might actually be an 'Adult Baby' (ABDL). These people sometimes regress back to various ages when they were children. From what I can tell, this is mainly used for comfort or as a coping mechanism:

The two aren't necessarily connected, but he 'came out' as a cross dresser last Saturday morning on the channel 5 programme 'The Saturday Show'.

Toddlers exist in their own little world that is defined by their needs and wants and they essentially do what they think will fulfil these (may involve tantrums & attention-seeking behaviour). They, as yet, have no real concept of others wants and needs. In other words they have no concept of empathy. Bear (sadly, like many people) appears to have missed thie developmental stage where empathy emerges.

It’s a weapon in his WUM arsenal, along with his howler monkey impression.

It's definitely worked on you lot. You simply can't stop talking about him.

he is talking to his fan base

same as lorraine talks as if everyone is a 2 year old... most of her viewers are doing the same.

I think the baby voice thing was passive aggressive..... I'm not shouting..... I'm only making eggs/I'm nice - coffee cocktail everyone? Trying to seem innocent and charming, but really winding everyone up then enjoying the fall-out! Couldn't live with him, but found him compelling viewing!

Yeah, this. I think after he got angry that night and smashed the window/mirror with his glass, BB had a word and he realised it was doing him no favours, so he decided to play the game.

Being passive aggressive rather than aggressive, winding his housemates up and sidestepping the rules so he could always get off on a technicality, claim to be the innocent victim if anyone else got angry, holding his hands up and going "woah, personal space, personal space".

I found it quite funny at times. I voted for him, he deserved to win, he worked his arse off in there to entertain the viewers and nobody else even tried.

Be honest with yourself, would you rather one of the boring nonentities won? Ricky came second for christ's sake, that shows the level of competition he had.

I'm just glad that for once, not only did the British public decide to keep the interesting/entertaining housemate in, but they gave him the crown. He made the show, you have to admit, imagine how dull the final weeks would have been without him.

Such a shame that Marco, another massive tool, was hoofed out so early in the civilian show, that could have gotten very entertaining.

BIB - yes, absolutely. If Bear hadn't been in the house, we might have seen interesting chat and learnt more about the others. For me, that is what BB is all about. We had little chance to indulge in the Psychological/deeper meaning of BB because Bear dominated everything (NOT entertainng for me at all).
