Go in to the battery tab and find out which app is at the top of the list which will be using the most battery life.
You can also do things like turning off background updates to some apps as well. Check if you've got apps that need constant GPS location settings as well as that might drain the battery levels. |

Ive been into to the battery tab it showed that Twitter was draining it and it was also in background when I'm not using so that probably dosent help
Background updates were already turned off I also checked GPS location and it says allow whilst using the app |

How old is the phone? The battery life performance will degrade over time.
With iPhones it's not usually apps in the background that cause these sorts of problems as iOS has quite strict rules about what apps are allowed to do in the background and how long they are allowed to run for in the background. It could possibly be due to app updates being installed, or if an iCloud backup was started while the phone was plugged in it could have continued after it was unplugged and used quite a bit of power for that. edit: based on what you've said above, try switching off background updating for Twitter and see if that improves the situation. |

It is funny that you should post this. Yesterday I went out and left my iPad air inside for a couple of hours. When I got home it was very warm, bordering on hot and the battery had drained considerably. I checked to see which app was causing the problem and it seems the home button was the highest percentage and facebook was also high. I closed down all the apps that were open and the battery was still draining as I watched it. Held down the home button and on off button together and did reset. All seems fine today.

iOS 9.3.4 seemed to drain the battery considerably but that issue has seemingly disappeared in 9.3.5. |

Why would you do that? Wifi is likely to use less power than mobile data...
