Gabby said right at the beginning of the programme that Aubrey was meant to have joined them but was ill so couldn't make it.

By what the tabloids were saying this morning, the only medical condition she could be suffering from is cystitis

I couldnt bear to watch anymore of the saturday show because justcthe look on rickys face said it all.
I hated Bear on CBB BUT strangley enough I can watch him on Ex on the beach maybe its because I see Ex OTB as heavily scripted so therefore its not real life, more of a black comedy of sorts ![]()

but his behavior afterwards has been rather cringe worthy weird and egotistic, i thought he might settle down a little bit after it's all finished but i have not liked what i've been seeing, hmmm anyone got the link to "The Saturday show"? the My5 website does not work, i keep getting an error message can you watch it anywhere else? |

I kind of felt bad for him. It seems like he is having a hard time with all the hate his is getting (he doesn't understand it) and is focusing on that rather than the well wishes from his fans. I think he is hurting inside that he isn't as loved/appreciated as he thought he would be. See it from his perceptive (just a guess on my part)---he winded up people but wasn't nasty/malicious/person (how he probably sees it) and had the whole house against him (they talked bad about him behind his back and to his face) and didn't want to play with him (he sees himself as the underdog). Now he was voted winner but he is still hearing the negativity which he doesn't think happened. I think someone he trusts should sit him down in private and talk to him so he can understand where others are coming from so he can address it.... edit: I am a fan of Bear |

If you are outside the UK try Google Chrome with Hola, otherwise try firefox (you may need to accept the cookies). Bear seemed like a kid with ADHD who hadn't taken his Ritalin. I'm a Bear fan and thought he seemed hyperactive with poor impulse control. Not horrible but kind of cringe....

I watched the clip
I was expecting it to be worse but still it was cringey He needs to get a good manager if he wants to make the most of winning His hi-jinks are ok on shows like BOTS but don't come across well on daytime telly. As much as what Aubrey said to him was designed to hurt it was pretty accurate. His winning is not really about being liked / accepted etc. He didn't change his personality in there, he was the same as he was on Ex on the beach except that he had more people to torment. |

Like people have mentioned.. if he keeps on behaving like this in the industry then he will be known as a troublemaker and dropped like a hot potato. Unfortunately it's the only act he has so he is stuffed it seems.

But no arc came, no remorse, no realisation, no compassion. The ugly behaviour was saw from the beginning was all there was and that's how he left the house. Still nothing's changed and the appearance on the TV show was embarrassing, Marnie was embarrassed for him and didn't understand why people weren't playing along. That sh*t doesn't fly in the real world darlin' it's not how you do things. It doesn't seem like Stephen's in on his own joke. |

I had a hard time believing that's all there was to him, that couldn't be who he really was, surely? There had to be a redemption arc where he sees the errors of his ways and all is right with the world again.

Emma KEPT trying to get the hm to say 'they liked him by the end' to be met with blank looks and a bit of waffle. She even SAID, she'd 'warmed' to him, which was an obvious lie. He was given a MASSIVE heads up I reckon, and he just DIDN'T get it, because that is HOW HE IS, and he is also too STUPID to pretend. So he's the same, and overdoes the 'wounded' and projection. It's ALL he's capable of. |

Credit to you, Keep_it_real for admitting that - that takes some balls after supporting him all the way ![]() When I went on about him I know I was pretty serious about his behaviour, but when you come to understand people like these, just watching them on a show can press all the wrong buttons and empathising with the other housemates anger and frustrations were heightened. Unfortuneatly, people like Stephen Bear can't change because they are unable to. If he was like that on the show and then came out and was pretty decent, for sure there would have been a part of me that would be really peed off I'd been duped by his performance, but there would probably be a small piece of me saying, 'god, he's good!' But, the thing is, when you act and react like a malignant narcissist inch by inch and breath by breath, the highly likely outcome is, you are a malignant narcissist to the marrow. Someone playing the game, be it on the show or in life, tends to veer in and out of character and has the ability to show other sides to their nature, even when they don't mean to. Unfortunately, Bear cannot do this. He's invented this overblown, violently ugly caricature of what he wants to be, because deep down, he despises who he is - Probably something his family environment has made him feel. He'll feel weak, unsupported, ashamed, lost, ugly, etc but what he does is project that onto other people and by god, he will make them pay for it. It also reinforces this persona of who he thinks he should be, which in his eyes is a thousand times better than who he really is deep down. The sad fact is, he's a lost cause. You can't help these people - they have to admit there is something wrong, but there is nothing wrong with them, only something wrong with everybody else. Their only modus operandi in life is to use, abuse and chew up and spit out people to prop up their own ego's and they can never learn from a negative experience. Hurt people, hurt people. But, when hurt people become ugly narcissists they can't ever be cured. You can only wise up and keep out of their negative vacuum, less you be destroyed by their vile existences. Still, it's all a shame because he could have built up a great life and a fan base by showing, actually, he's okay, personable, charismatic, and people would want to work with him. Unfortunately his jupiter sized ego and mal-intent to strip the attention away from others to guzzle it up for himself far outweighs any emotional intelligence or practical thinking. |

The bit that caught my attention was when he said something like "People who know me, who've lived with me, think I'm a lovely bloke" ....... and not one of them had the sense to say "We've lived with you 24 hours a day for FOUR WEEKS, you dimwit". Or however long it was.
