No real concrete news, apart from the interface overhaul. I actually like the YouView layout, though I'm possibly in a minority there! Will be interesting to see how the redesign looks though.
Hopefully the promise of "many more apps" is kept. I think Amazon is the big one missing right now, and I'd expect YouTube to be a contender for addition aswell. Not surprised at all that there seems little to no chance of Sky's entertainment channels being added, but they're hardly a massive loss to BT. On the other hand, I'm still hoping Sky Sports 5 will get allowed to transition from Vision to YouView, even if it's SD only. |

To a question (52 minutes in) concerning offering less bundling of different sports Delia Bushell (Managing Director of BT TV and BT Sport of BT Group plc) began her reply:Quote:

My personal view on that is ermm, while customers will say that they want to be able to pick and choose, in reality they like clarity and simplicity, and, even the model that we (have) got where it's freeview BT TV or six pounds in BT broadband or an app, you have a lot of people trying to understand what price it is and what platform, and think adding more layers of complexity to that becomes quite hard to market in a mass market way as a proposition to consumers, ermm, and i(t) I think at the prices we are operating at, there isn't really a need to unbundle.

Link was a good read. Would like to see BT have its own entertainment channel. I have been enjoying Grays Anatomy on AMC HD. I know some will have seen most of it but some of Grays Anatomy that's on AMC I have not seen before. For me I'm not to bothered if the Sky channels like Sky 1 and that dont come to BT for that would bump up the price of BT TV a bit more. Now and again I do miss Fox no longer being on BT TV. Darren |

I have a NOWTV sub to cover Fox but don't really watch anything on it apart from Walking Dead.. I think the only other thing i watch on the Sky Family of channels is Modern Family on Sky One... |
