Anyone else bemused by Marnie in her eviction interview and after? The apparent rowing with Lewis, and her appearance without him on the Saturday show... I've been rolling some theories around...

Theory 1:
She really doesn't have anything of a personality in her own right, certainly not one that matches her age. Lewis' absence for a few days meant that she no longer remembers what she saw in him and her affiliation is now to bear because he was "looking after" her in the house.

Theory 2:
She's very shrewd, and has some contracts in mind. Perhaps Lewis was offered various things dependent on Marnie's agreement while he was out, he told her about them at eviction night and she turned him down while she thinks about her options. Explains the rowing, and Marnie's cold rejection of the Lewis questions.

It would not surprise me that the option 2 has some truth to it, Lewis for me was very controlling.

Option 2 probably no TOWIE person has ever won and for whatever reason they don't seem to get the votes , although there are a couple who haven't been on yet who would change that.

So therefore Lewis needs marnie but not the other way around

Yes, so much for the "I hope he doesn't break my poor innocent little heart" routine.

I'm more inclined to say closer to No. 1. I don't think there's much going on in there at all. I think she might fair ok on GS if she's heavily directed but left to her own devices she struggles to formulate any opinions.

She doesn't really do conversations but just tags on weak responses to what other people are saying. She doesn't offer much but I think that's because there really isn't much going on there to give. Just a dull person but she said she's got smart people around her who keep her right in money and business so she'll be ok.

I hope they do have her best interests at heart because - not meant unkindly - she does seem quite slow and I imagine very easy to exploit.

Eta: I don't think the relationship was real. I think she was doing what she does - playing a part but without too much direction in the BB house she didn't even manage that very well. Poor Lewis had to showmanc for the pair of them.

Option 2 occurred to me too.
Marnie hinted in her interview that she valued her friends and family's support and opinions - I think she was more eager for some unwind, reality check time with them than with Lewis.
They don't seem a very well matched couple - Lewis had control of her in the house environment but I doubt her free spirit will sit well with him outside. He's similar to Stephanie last year - infatuated with a fantasy relationship with few outside influences and distractions until reality bites.

Hey! That was one of my Most Serious Posts.

Thank you, you crazy woman you. Likewise.

But it is the forum that is half the draw isn't it. I can take or leave this guff now but if I start getting into the forum I tend to stick with the series even if a little bit of me dies inside whenever someone has another toileting issue. The forum makes it for me.

I will never forget your transcript of Jackson's DR entry. I laughed so hard I almost had a toileting issue myself. A BB highlight.

There's bound to be friction between these two eventually, esp if he wants her to leave the highly lucrative GS. The producers, having lost Charlotte, will pull out all the stops to dnsure Marnie doesn't leave too.

Meanwhile, Lewis' reality career is at a standstill as he's left Towie and is now one of millions of personal trainers and not guaranteed decent money from that. He will be keen to do lots of interviews and shoots with Marnie but she might just want them to go away on holiday without the cameras.

I missed that so may have taken you up wrong but maybe - with her not being too bright or sure of herself - she wants to check in with those around her whether it's a good move businesswise to go forward with the relationship. May be wrong but can't imagine many will tell her it's a good idea.
