Interesting he says it was down to PMA, I have another theory, he had already met with C5 producers to ensure he would win by clever editing and a get out of jail free card no matter how much he misbehaved. C5 realised Biggins was areal threat to their plans for Bear so they got rid of him under a very shady pretence. It was all so easy for Bear for this to be fixed in his favour. Mind you , who in their right mind would take a risk on employing him or evn having him on a show judging by his interviews so far with emma. Rylan and C5 this morning. |

I don't buy this, how could the producers predict that everyone of Sam's 30m fans would book their holiday and so not be able to vote all at the same time ?

The circumstantial evidence wouldn't hold up in court.

Could be. It would also explain why, when they delivered the scripts to the house each day, apparently Ricky's was always missing from the pile.

And indeed why would they put Biggins in there in the first place?

The anti-Bear people seem to be hopelessly stuck in the denial stage of grief, don't they?
'It's fake, it's rigged, no-one would have voted for Bear, the producers set it up..WAH!' |

Well my take is the execs at Viacom contacted the BB producers and said, look we've got this guy, a real fire starter he'd be great for your show, cause loads of drama, he'll be great. We spoken to his management and you can have him for a low fee but he's got to finish in the top 3 at least because we're pushing him on EOTB and it'll be a great cross promotional tool.
So they review the tapes, get him in for a chat. Stephen's happy to do whatever they ask and is told it'll raise his profile and they might have more projects for him in future. "We really like what you've done on EOTB and want a similar character for CBB, think Marc O'Niell times ten. You know the stuff, winding people up getting in their faces, that kind of stuff" Stephen knows this is a massive gig for him, he's not really a celebrity but he wants to be so he signs up on the promise he's going to do well. The producers uphold their side of the bargain with a lot of screen time, favourable edits and gentle encouragement and direction along the way. I'm also pretty sure they set up certain scenarios with Stephen in mind, like piegate and gave him a little talk before hand on the potential opportunities for screen time. That's a little window into how the industry works and is perfectly plausible. Whether it's something you want to take on board is fine either way with me. |

Trouble is Biggins didn't quite play ball, some of his comments were over the line and BB doesn't like problems with governing bodies like OFCOM, they televised a couple of them but were finding they couldn't include a lot of him in show because of his views. They had discussions with him and found a way for him to leave, probably at a reduced fee. It just made things easier for everyone to get him out. |

Surely they all met with the producers before going in.

and why would they care who won anyway ? Voting is registered on different servers for different people and some contestants have multiple servers assigned to them. The voting is frozen to reconfigure the routing (to said servers) as people are taken out of the running. Now it would be illegal to fix the vote but packets (of information, or votes) can get lost in the system meaning they are never registered. Just saying. |

I don't think Biggins was coming across that well in terms of entertainment to be honest. He probably wasn't going to win. They covered it up to protect his career.
I imagine there was collusion between Bear and producers whether it was before the show and/or during it. He was probably getting pep talks from producers in DR. |
