Bear haters also lost someone, though, didn't they?
A guy who bragged about not even watching the programme, but started several anti-Bear threads per day. His name began with a 'd'. |

Well you've posted more than 5 words which is a good start
Often the trolls would make antagonising little comments and keep winding things up.There was a difference between his fans and trolls and I think people got so fed up with Stephen, his behaviour, the show, the producers and pretty much everything that it was just ridiculous. I responded in the thread you mentioned. The guy was asking for specifics when just Stephen's daily constant behaviour was the answer. I wasn't going to trawl through the early shows to pick out a particular incident. Just him doing what he does was the reason for pretty much everything and that's all we were shown. I had a different perception of him and would not want to live with him like that IRL. However I found it interesting watching other HMs deal with him and with each other. I don't think they could have carried the show without him and Renee....well, they could have but then BB would have had to step in and create conflict via their tasks. I prefer HMs who can generate their own conflict without getting personal. I think Aubrey and Renee got too personal as did Katie and Boom however I think they tried to avoid getting personal and then snapped. I think they regretted getting personal yet I don't think they would admit to it. Just my opinion... I also don't think Bear is an angel yet he isn't mean imo. Annoying? yes, at times

Back with the prods and the jabs I see. It was quite nice to not have to deal with that kind of thing for a few hours. I actually enjoyed being on the forum.
So it's fine for people to prod and jab at Bear supporters but not the other way round? You seem to expect that there will be zero posts supporting Bear on the forum, despite the DS poll revealing Bear was the third most popular hm on here. |

I understand and it seems like Bear is the "bitch eating crackers" which is a colloquialism that essentially means--you can't stand someone so much that just their breathing annoys you

Annoying? yes, at times ![]() Yeah, that's probably one of the issues at the crux of it. I didn't feel like any one person should be 'a task' to be endured. All HMs should be on a equal footing and playing together against BB. TBH the whole game is so corrupted now (with showing them tweets etc) anyway. I also didn't like the focus on him to the exclusion of others. I think there would have been some juicy stuff if things had been allowed to evolve naturally. It just felt like lazy producing, letting one antagonistic HM do all the heavy lifting when it's their job to come up with tasks etc. not just stick someone in there to wind everyone up. We both have a positive out of it though, you got your winner and for me the headache is over

I read the link to your theories on produce reality and found it interesting and plausible (I don't think they knew he would win but who knows). Maybe next series we will agree on a HM and hopefully no one gets a headache. Best wishes

I'm no Bear fan but his dislikers are still sucking lemons On Friday night all the threads were pretty much gloating grading threads and telling fms to suck it up. I haven't seen anyone actually give a valid reason about why they liked bear aside from the fact they liked the fact he would up others It's rather telling that not even those who thought he was entertaining could call him a nice person |

I'm no Bear fan but his dislikers are still sucking lemons Being disappointed is not the same thing as being bitter, which you're well aware of but wanted to have your little dig anyway. We're ALL fans of BB and those who aren't overjoyed with Bear winning are allowed to express that, and thankfully, don't need your permission to do so. Do you honestly think you're helping anything by accusing people of being bitter? And if it's wrong to label all bear fans as trolls then it's equally wrong to say "his dislikers are still sucking lemons." You can't have it both ways matey. |

You don't get it, do you? He was fascinating and entertaining because he wasn't nice.
We just think that his form of 'not being nice' was pathetically low, ugly, sad, repetitive, empty, annoying, nasty and BORING. He's not exactly an interesting 'villain'. For a lot of us. Even if you found him to be. |

I found him immature, tiresome and rather dull actually. He was a one trick pony with nothing to keep my interest. There is no bitterness that he won as I think everyone resigned themselves to that fact well in advance of the final. It just disappoints me that someone who behaved in the ways he did will now see that his actions have been vindicated and rewarded, which will encourage him to continue in the same way |

On the contrary, this forum finds him so interesting its contributors are still writing 20k
psychiatric analyses of his personality two days after he won the show. But you and I know different. ![]() And, to be honest, there hasn't been much at ALL, compared to previous years. Because he's rather a transparent sort of twunt. |

He did the same thing every day so I don't see how that's entertaining At least you were honest about him not being nice. That's the first time I've seen that acknowledged |
