I don't think he was mean. If he saw someone was upset he backed off. He never made personal comments. He cuddled Renee for two hours when she was upset (that was something she mentioned in an interview). I think he was surprised and felt bad that Katie got so upset about her balloon being popped....he could not have foreseen her freaking out over a balloon (wonder how she would have reacted if it had been popped by the task people). Bear reminds me of one of my brothers back when we were kids (long ago). I also like how he sticks up for Chloe.
