They're maybe catching up with Geordie on the Beach, Towie Island etc. Anti-social behaviour is encouraged there and some people really need their fix.

Yeh baby lurking and smirking
My husband [who used to be BB fan too] had a suggestion as to where all the Bear fans may have gone [as there seem to be to few still here]. His theory made sense to me so I'm posting it here.
He theorised that the people who enjoyed Bear's 'performance' are the same people who enjoy scripted reality shows of the type he, Marnie, Lewis etc come from. He theorised that they are not into BB particularly. So, now that the show is over they have literally lost interest in the process.
The interactive, cerebral side of BB means nothing to them so they have already moved on.

I think my husband has a point.
And obviously enjoying the interactive , cerebral side of BB and i have to admit guiltily enjoying watching the Bear dislikers still sucking lemons

BB used to be a clever, intelligent program about how people isolated from the outside world got on. It WAS cerebral. That is isn't now [or hardly] is a great shame, as it was far FAR better then.

Why oh why, when BB had such an original unique selling point, did they throw it away and start copying their own, lesser, copy-cat shows?
All the other, less intelligent and 'cerebral' shows wanted to be BB. Now BB is trying to be them. {and they're crap}

Same thing happened to The Simpsons. They started copying the copy-cats.

Yep i take your point Aimee. I have been watching since BB1 and i deplore the state of civilian BB but for me i quite like the non-cerebral flamboyant nature of CBB , with the emphasis on entertainment .
But civilian BB has lost everything that made it so good.

Well this is just a bit of a la-di-dah way of saying that Bear fans are stupid, isn't it? Maybe your husband doesn't understand the problem with sweeping generalisations such as the one he has made.

Or maybe your husband doesn't realise that rather than discussing the 'cerebral side of BB' the majority of posts on here are just a variation on 'Bear is a knob' or similar sentiments.

Disliking Bear doesn't make you intelligent any more than appreciating makes you stupid. Such a simplistic thought pattern would not be worthy of anyone still on the board though.
