I'm personally looking forward to this.

Yes, I know there are emulators and roms that are completely free, but it doesn't feel right playing pirated games. I have done, and again it's just an illegal source.

Is anyone else excited? Could this mean a SNES mini?

I've got one ordered for my 8 year old son for Christmas. He's a massive Nintendo / Mario fan and is always asking me what games were like "in the old days". He's gonna love this.

lol I wish the original NES and SNES were cheap to buy. I miss so many games. Only way to play them now really is via emulation, but like I said it's not 'official'.

We're looking forward to it so much, we now have 3 threads all about it...

But, yes, my preorder still stands.

And i think the general guide of emulation is that it isn't piracy if you own the game. Also, with old 8/16 bit games, the distributors and devs stopped earning money from them a long, long, time ago... Emulating something 20+ years old shouldn't keep you awake at night

Many people emulate without still owning the original cartridge. Also the release of the mini NES and the Megaman Legacy collection on PS4 and 3DS as well as the two Sega 3D classic collections on 3DS show that these games are still making money even after all these years.
