Last year was atrocious so I guess anything would be better but this series has a really nice feel about it; everything that was good about the X Factor it feels like it's back.
Love the judges and really surprised about the chemistry between Simon and Nicole. It was a bit frosty on the US version so I wasn't expecting much but they have better chemistry than with female judge he has sat next to on any of these types of shows.
I enjoyed the room auditions and the panel, I felt like they could have showed more auditions though. They used to show quick montages of 2-3 auditions between the long 'featured' ones, which I miss.
I haven't watched for a few years, haven't liked the panel, haven't liked the format. But this is back to basics, auditions in a room instead of live audience, great to see Simon, Louis and Sharon back together and Nicole fits in really well. I really enjoyed tonight's show.
They are definitely my favourite judges, and I find Xtra factor live better, but I would like more of the auditions Xtra factor used to show. Maybe they will end up doing some kind of special episodes when the series ends showing the unseen ones.
The first episode was so much better as the most of the cruelship we saw last year. Good to see the room back. Great too that Dermot is back as well.
Not still sure about the Panel by the way. My mind is split at the Moment. Simon is genius no question about it. Mrs. O was a positiv surprise to me tonigth. Louis is only 64. There is NOTHING constructive he brings to the Show. A shame they replaced Rita with Nicole. The Pussycat should better shut up and only look good. I can't get her.
It was good but gone are the days where we got a good amount of the amount of auditions. There was hardly any auditions it was mostly back stories or sob stories. I don't mind the back stories or sob stories but do we really need them for every contestant or have them go on for as long as they do.
I'm glad Sharon is back but not really bothered about Louis or Nicole being back. To be honest I miss Cheryl. Shame she never came back for this series.

I feel the opposite to you, I like that Nicole is back, I'm not bothered by Louis or Sharon. For me in an ideal world Cheryl and Nicole would like each other and be sitting on the panel together.
I love that the original judges are back plus NIcole (really like her) and of course Dermot. The X Factor is not the X Factor without our host.
I was surprised they showed so many through to boot camp so early, they usually have a lot more people that they laugh at, although I guess Honey G made up for that

The panel really works.”
Na , I just dislike Sharon far too much .
She's very disingenuous I feel .
Plus we all know that when the show gets going she will simply recruite / join up with LW ( leprechaun ) and they will go against everything Simon says and find fault with HIS acts .
She's a wasted seat in my view plus my disappointment was compounded as I thought it was Cheryl on the panel not this vacuous celeb
I really like the panel this year. I've always been a fan of Nicole on this - she is really refreshing, brings out a lot of fun and I find her really funny so I'm glad she's back.
As others have already said, the only thing I miss is the montage of auditions we used to get. It feels like they used to pack in so much more into one show, but that's only a small thing in the grand scheme of things and they may switch it up in later episodes.
