Funny how Natalie was a very obvious ringer, as was Denise but they bookend this poll with the latter failing to secure a single vote.. Why is that - was Natalie more honest about her status... is Denise suffering from the 'James Jordan factor'?”

Natalie was just... better. Simple as that.

I don't think DVO did herself any favours in how she came over - she seemed very hard and grimly determined to win. I know it's a difficult one, most contestants (presumably) want to win but any sign of steeliness tends to put the voting public off IMO.

I wonder if Erin wakes up in a cold sweat wondering what the flip she was thinking re puppetgate?

Denise & Ian got my vote but I also loved Colin & Erin and he'd be my top fave male who didn't win.

Also loved Julian Clary's journey from obviously not enjoying it at all to loving every minute of his finale dances

Of the rest, Natalie Gumede is without doubt the most talented dancer the show's ever had but apart from a few of her routines, I never particularly enjoyed watching her with Artem, it always felt a bit "dance school routine" performance for me.

Denise VO pissed many people (me included) off by trying to play down her previous professional dance experience when she claimed performing the role of Roxy Hart in Fosse' Chicago was mostly "sitting on a chair". It was condescending in the extreme especially considering the skills required to dance Fosse choreography.

Kimberley and Pasha were robbed. Louis was not a winner, both Kimberley and Denise were better that series.
Kimberleys fusion and her amazing charleston remain 2 of my all time fave dances. I can't recall any of Louis' except that dreadful showdance when he pranced around on a gym horse.

It was a model of the world if you don't mind!

I LOVED all of Lois and Flavia's dances, the Charleston was one of my all time favourites and I adored the fusion rumba/tango. I also think that Lois did have a journey (sorry), he looked bored as anything to start with but did seem to have genuinely fallen in love with dancing by the end of the series.

PS I liked Kimberley but I still think looked as if she was going to fall over

Don't know about best runners up, but my favourites were Ricky & Natalie and Chelsea & Pasha - would have preferred both of those pairs to have won instead of the actual series winners.

I wasn't necessarily a fan but I voted for Natalie Gumede. Her technique was fabulous.

Had it been my personal favourite, I would have voted for Georgia May Foote.

Matt and Aliona - I loved their routines!

My second place 'seconders' would be Rachel and Vincent, who were also fab.

I agree, however he had already lost that final.
The dance wasn't the far off the result being announced and in those days the phone lines were open all week too. But it was just an added insult to him not winning and his final dance on the show being that and not another stunning dance from them.

I voted Natalie, her technique and performance levels were above all the rest, but she really shone in the final as the best dancer and put in a truly emotional performance too, which for me was the dance of the series.

But I have a few, my favourites usually come in second with the exception of one year, Mark.

So after Natalie is Colin, then Rachael and Chelsee. Then, for final performance alone, Simon, again, for me he gave the performance of the night in the final.

Well the sad thing is they weren't robbed. They left their windows and doors wide open with a sign at the end of the drive saying Gone on holiday - Burgalars welcome.

I didn't vote couldn't choose between Colin/Erin and Rachel/Vincent

They were different years, weren't they? That was Zoe finishing third.

I voted for Sophie & Brendan most of that series....until down to the final three when I supported Natalie after finally just enjoying her routine.

As late as the semi final Darcy was still commenting on a "wobble",a certain lack of ultimate core strength.
Voted for her in this poll, but only because Chelsee already had a good showing.

It was a difficult choice, but I selected Chelsey Healey.

This brings back bad memories as I stood to win a fair some of money if she won as I had her in a double with Little Mix to win X Factor.

Ricky Whittle & Natalie Lowe (Chris Hollins won)

This was Natalie Guemede's downfall as well.

Now I liked Colin& he was the better dancer in the final 2 but what Erin did in the showdance was take a risk that didn't pay off because it wasn't a showdance& Darren did a proper one but during the seires id say Colin was better so tricky but neither were as good as Zoe so I say Zoe was robbed that series

They were.

I mean in this thread poll I couldn't separate who I thought was the best runner up. Colin and Erin should have won their series. Rachel and Vincent were the best in their series in my opinion.
