It was a stupid and ill-judged thing to say, but Biggins was dealt with (taken to task by BB and removed from the house), and he apologised for it. That should be the end of it. Unfortunately, Katie is flaky and fame-hungry, so she's milking this ridiculously! Are we really expected to believe that a stupid and ill-judged remark traumatised her so much that she needed to see a psychologist? More likely (assuming that she was telling the truth about that), she's mentally fragile and pretty much anything would have her dashing off to the psychologist.

Agree. I found her deeply sycophantic and disingenuous, which has now been borne out by her sudden horror and am dram histrionics over Biggins remarks.

I didn't know her either Scarlett - got to know her in the house a bit (as it was the bloody Bear show) and came to the same conclusions.

To my mind, an anti-semitic joke would be one which mocks or belittles Jewish people.

I couldn't stand her on The X Factor, but I do think some comments here are way over-the-top.

They weren't told in the house why Biggins was removed. They assumed it was family reasons or something, but she didn't say she hadn't heard his comments, she just hadn't linked them to his departure.

We weren't shown the comment Biggins made, Katie telling him about her family connection or her reaction to his comments, so we have no idea how she reacted. Maybe she did see the psychologist, maybe she was having a bad day, maybe BB made her. We don't know.

And aside from anything else, Biggins gave his 'exclusive' so she has every right to give her side of the story as well.

Biggins is a hateful, ignorant and stupid fool. He outed his nasty self within minutes of entering the house. He was removed for his comments about AIDS, gays, bisexuals and the anti Semitic "joke" which was not just off colour and not just tasteless, it was hateful and disgusting. People who excuse such things in the way they have on this thread are the PROBLEM, they certainly aren't the solution. Attack the victim and praise the abuser...some of you must be so proud.

I think this whole issue as been handled disgracefully by 'Big Brother'.

We've purposely been kept in the dark about this. The 'joke' (not comment) was apparently made. We have heard that Katie had to go to the diary room and seek treatment, that she was in tears. Yet on the this morning show she 1. knew no reason why Biggins would be ejected (suggesting that she didnt think it was a big deal), and 2. The joke wasn't on her mind at all in her recollection of the issue and even felt concerned about what had happened to Biggins. If someone insulted you and brought you to tears you'd not bring that up even slightly when that persons name was mentioned?

It seems to me that Biggins offended some bisexuals on the production team and they used a distasteful joke as an excuse to get rid of him no questions asked. The irony of the situation is amazing.

For BB and now sadly Katie to use the holocaust in a publicity way is highly offense.

Its sad how this world is becoming. If you're a member of a certain group you are bullied to behaving in a certain way, and if you don't then you are partically responsible for all the negative stuff that group gets.

Whatever happened to people having opinions and being challenged about them? Why did BB 'cover-up' this incident, yet 2 days later booted him? Did Biggins say another bisexual comment and it suddenly was too much?

It seems if you have an opinion and it offends anyone at all then you are likely for the boot. Of course if your opinion happens to be the current one in favour then you'll be pushed forward. What happened to being impartial and letting things play out as it happens!?

BB has turned in to a control freak, and sadly this incident shows again how it's mishandled the situation. They should stop trying to cover things up and make them public. Let the public decide if Biggins deserves to be booted out or not.

Sadly BB is going downhill.. I'll be surprised if it lasts another couple of seasons.
