I don't get this... we aren't getting extra auditions? Why is everything live? Why is RYLAN on here?! Why have they made their own even tackier version of SOTS?! What will happen at the live shows? Will we still be in the XF studio with the judges and the phones and all the fun it brings?

I am only just watching it why are we seeing acts we have already seen? The show is just a rip off of SOTS and that is bad enough. Cant see me watching this rubbish for long TBH.

Is that last year's winner Louisa in the audience, she just died her hair purple.
Sat there with the plebs, surely not.

Someone else mentioned in another thread it's all down to very bad Xtra Factor ratings and in the past there have been stories about Simon Cowell wanting ratings as good as Strictly it Takes Two.
Until I looked up the ratings I was shocked Rylan on BOTS with nobodies on gets more viewers than an Alan Carr chat show with actual celebrities on. Rylan can get 900K for an episode. (source - http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showp...&postcount=262 ) and sometimes he pulls in excess of 700K for late at night. Olly Murs says - "mine and Caroline’s Xtra Factor ratings were soaring" https://www.thesun.co.uk/archives/ne...him-on-my-own/ The forum reaction when one of their shows only got 300K - http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1594651 . I consider X Factor a Saturday show and deciding last year to ditch Xtra Factor Saturday shows to try Thursday shows I think shows they were running around in panic mode working out how to get viewers. You wouldn't have thought it when the X Factor main show does so much better than Big Brother. |

It's much much better than previous years.
Like the format, love the hosts. Glad to see super-talented Rylan getting another vehicle to showcase his skill. |

BOTS = Bit on the Side, Big brother's spinoff show, also hosted by Rylan.

Just caught up with Xtra Factor and whilst I cannot stand BOTS though the presenter is the same and there is an audience the similarity stops there. I like Rylan anyway and him and Matt are really great together. I loved the comedy and the couple of extra auditions. It was really great fun and light and nothing like the crass and depressing BOTS.

Never been a fan of Matt. I feel as if Rylan just overshadows him.

It's certainly better than what we've had in the past couple of years but they really need to insert some more extra auditions.
I like the idea of it being live because we get an instant reaction, however we now have a situation where some of those who we've just seen on ITV get a boost by appearing live and getting to perform. |
